Dear Canada Post,
It seems that once again you feel inclined to inform us that our mailbox leans and now apparently, you need all the snow cleared from around the mailbox before your car is able to approach it. Seeing as the delivery person is in a vehicle I'm trying to understand how it is that the snow, an element of nature that they've to drive through on the road as it is, is impairing your ability to deliver our mail. Curious as it is since THERE ISN'T ANY SNOW ALONG THE SHOULDER TO COMPLAIN ABOUT. Another thing is that, while you can write, with an underline and exclamation point that it needs straightening, unless there's some freak weather phenomenon that allows the ground to melt along with the snow and the plows stop hitting the mailbox because you've previously complained that it was too far back, we would be so happy to yet again accommodate your lazy asses. Also, threatening to halt delivery is against the law. It's an impediment of federal law to withhold someone's mail.

So sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. These events occur without any rhyme or reason and seem to simply serve as a reminder to each of us to enjoy every day and be good to each other and ourselves while we can. Tomorrow is the constant unknown; yesterday is unchangable which leaves us with some control over today.

Today is, International (Working) Women's Day! International Women's Day is sponsored worldwide by the United Nations.
The first International Women's Day was held March 19, 1911. Women socialists and trade unions held an earlier Women's Day on the last Sunday in February, 1908. The event grew from there and has been celebrated annually since.
The focus is upon women workers, and advancing women's rights in the workforce, politics and society.
