Would the ski enthusiasts please keep the white stuff on the hills, please? Down here at the Distillery we have a light dusting - just enough to make things yucky, not enough for a senior wannabe puppy to bounce in.


Better get back to the cleaning - it's amazing how dusty things can get when one ignores housework. Email in-boxes are even more of a chore.


Brats got up early, now they're both power-napping. They're still sulking that the good life (aka yummy home cooking served 24/7 via buffet) is over and boot camp days are here.

Well, it's been such a sh*tty couple of weeks, I got today off for good behaviour, & some R & R.

FINALLY got the xmas dec down & packed, but boy, does my house ever need a good cleaning.
Maybe tomorrow, 'cause that's not R & R, it's work. That's my excuse, & I'm sticking with it.

I'm baaaaack!!!

I have never been so happy to see a new year in my life. 2014 has to be a happy year. It just does.

When I last posted a quick note, I was still a bit loopy from the anaesthetic, so apologies for syntax and spelling. I can still feel a twinge of it in my system (the odd dizzy spell in the mornings), so won't be completely back to normal for another month or so. At least, that willl be the excuse I use if my posts make no sense.

I got back last night, but haven't had a chance to post. I spent 2 hours this morning, thoroughly cleaning out my fridge (note to self - never ever ever leave fruit on the top shelf and forget about it for 3 months, eeek! of course, that wouldn't have happened if the fruit/veggie crisper wasn't filled with chocolates ).

I’m glad to know that the brats still have you in their employ,
I think the title of their autobiography could be "La Vie-Canine & Feline Joy”,
As you can see we’re all still here & have been behaving for the most part,
