poor americans though, they do look sad
and sorry to think this maybe the last time hayley
will be seen playing in such a large venue

Wow, that hockey game was exciting
The doctor had T.V.s on throughout the offices, and I was able to watch most of the game.
Let's hope our men do as well tomorrow.

afternoon Q sters,
1st off, aren't our Canadian Women jusy AWESOME! getting 2 GOLDS today in curling & hockey. holy cow what a hockey game too. ok guys, it's time for you to step up to the rock/puck & getter done. i expect 2 more GOLDS tomorrow, no excuses. WOOHOO, WTG CANADA!!!!!!!!!!!

2nd, dropped off my car yesterday to the shop to get the other 2 items done, exhaust & rad, that the mechanic had mentioned when she died a couple of weeks ago. didn't mind the sound of the exhaust, made the car sound like a race car, that lovely throaty V8 sound, but the fumes weren't too healthy. the mechanic lent me his truck again so i could take rodent to work today. dropped her off & went over to the dentist office to see if my tooth was ok. it was feeling sensitive, even tho is wasn't suppose to. he took a peek, did the coloured paper test & then did a little grinding of the tooth, rechecked with paper again & it seemed better. apparently just a bit of a high spot that was aggravating when biting. with that all fixed, went out to the truck to start it & all i got was "click". oh no! i tried several things, putting her in neutral & trying, rocking it back & forth, even grabbed a blanket in the back, took the tire iron & wacked the starter a few times, still just "clicked". called the mechanic & told him what happened. he came down & we hooked booster cables to her, while he went under neath to wack starter, while i tried turning the key, nada, just "click". he put me in the vehicle he had driven down to go back home with while he waited for CAA to tow his truck. by the time i got back, my car was done, so picked it up. boy does it ever sound quite, too quite. will be picking up rodent shoertly.

3rd, WHAT'S WITH THIS "RAIN"?????!!!!!! looks a little white for rain & from the way it's accumulating, that means it have to shovel. was so looking forward to rain & milder temps to melt some of the white stuff i already have. somebody fire the weather dude.

i was like you, Joanne mentioned the 1st goal when i was driving rodent to work. got to the dentist & saw the 2nd while waiting. didn't get to see Canada's 2 goals, due to trying to get truck started, but while waiting for mechanic to get there, saw the OT goal & presentation of medals. the Swiss were sure happy to win their 1st hockey medal ever, beating Sweden & the US were not happy at all. they thought they had the game all sown up.......................NOT. we all knew better.
