Thank you for bringing that to our attention. This purple post has made me think about it & I'm going to see if I can't find out more facts & figures about it.

Good morning all. I cancelled my appt. for today; need a day off.
Maybe I'll do some cleaning. And I want to watch some t.v. this morning.

For me it is a treatment day again, but I take my medication at home & hope it doesn't wipe me out too much. Next week I will be back at the hospital for the regular routine. Feel better Hicks. We all need to feel at least regular & it seems to be the perfect day for watching TV.

I’m making it National Cake Day & an excuse for another verse,
Do you know I heard cake consumption causes calories to disperse?
Have you ever met someone who takes the cake & has a smarmy reputation?
& wasn’t it Marie Antoinette who advised cake consumption to an entire nation?
We have layer cakes of chocolate, vanilla & strawberry,
Carrot Cakes & Spice Cakes, even cakes that contain a dash of sherry,
I happen to like fruitcake & I even know a few of them!
& if you bake a sour cherry cake, please remove the stem,
Gingerbread Cake & Lemon Cake are fabulous & fine,
& Spice Cake that's just spicy enough to make your life sublime,
Any kind of Cheesecake is tops & without being overly cheesy,
& I have a great recipe for Banana Cake & making it is easy,
These days cupcakes are the rage & they're made with such artistry,
Who doesn't love a cupcake when it is served with a cup of tea?
Forget the memories of MacArthur Park & get into the kitchen'
Get your ingredients ready & do some fancy mixin'
Even a simple Sponge Cake or a cake so delicious it is off the charts,
& how about the perfect cake for all of us, a cake to hold our hearts?

discovered late in the day on tuesday
that miss lilly (one of the best kitties ever)
couldn't walk much - so was at the vets
wed afternoon.
vet wanted xrays, blood ,,, and a bill of
about $700 - going for just the blood
and the meds.

arthritis is likely the demon, but
shoot --- moved everything she needs
nearby.
lilly is quite old (not sure about her age
as is my mom's adopted kitty) thinking
maybe 19?

Good morning, everyone.

Boy, did we ever sleep late today. Brats are still in bed, not wanting to get up, which is sooo not like them. I think Lily dog is just pretending so she doesn't have to go out in the rain.

I did a bit more than I probably should have yesterday. Meh, lesson learned (how else can I know my limits if I don't test them? ).

We'll see how I feel later (actually, I feel much better, say 90%, my problem now are these silly coughing fits I keep having, sigh). Quincy cat hasn't done one of his stress-relieving office visits in a looong time, so that might be in the works for late afternoon. Should help them get through the evening shift to see a kitty in a coat (well, it *is* cold).

Lily dog is on her last day of meds. She is going to be one annoyed little pup when she realizes all the extra treats are no longer going to be at her disposal (she's now reminding me it's pill time so she can get half a dozen little treats when she takes the pill). Of course, after the scare she gave me, I don't care if I have to stay up all night to bake cookies, she can have as many treats as she wants (well, within reason - it would be a very bad thing if she no longer fit into her collar ).

Better go check on the sleepyheads.
