evening Q sters,
another great day out. got the laundry washed & hung on the line to dry & cut the dandelion/violet field, now it looks like green grass again. BBQed some sausages for dinner. starting to hear the fireworks outside.
was watching the billboard awards & saw Van Halen. Boy what a difference from 5 years ago when i saw them at the ACC. Eddie's sporting a goatee & Wolfgang has gain about 400 lbs. Holy cow, almost didn't recognize him. They did Panama, with out the Ferrari revving up in the back ground.
Hope everyone is enjoying this long weekend.NASCAR SEASON is complete for 2021.
Kyle Larson wins his 1st Nascar Championship.

good morning and happy victoria day

interesting to see i guess that i am the only
crazy mad men fan around - i spent a lot
of the last few days re watching tcm show the
whole madmen series (7 seasons!).
om - mild remark
and of course barry morse, (he didn't like
to wear shoes)
so if you ever want to see a tv program cover
the years that included jfk, race riots, man on the
moon, etc. and what it might be like working/living
during those times, which includes some women in an
ad agency, and of course don draper and peggy olson

Good morning, everyone.

Got home yesterday, but too many fun things to do and didn't get a chance to go online.
We had a party for my 2 neighbours - a combo b-day/going-away party (one gal is being relocated
). Good food, great company, and a bit of competition when the board games came out.
Lily dog and I spent an hour outside this morning, waiting to spy on neighbours who were still asleep in their beds.
We were enjoying the morning, the silence broken only by a few birds chirping. Lily dog was half dozing in my lap, when she perked up, very confused. Someone was walking down the street carrying a canoe. I swear Toronto's the only metropolis where these things are not too out of the ordinary.
Suitcase is mostly packed, still have to get the travel docs in order in the next day or so, then I'll be ready for vacation. 5 days and counting. Can't wait!
Another big excitement - my friend bought my Mom a new fish. Haven't met the littlest critter yet (I'm heading over there Friday when we drop the brats off for their vacation), but he apparently is slowly getting used to his new digs (he was a bit overwhelmed yesterday when he started exploring his new home and hid in the corner).
Off to squish the critters. I don't know what I'm going to do without them for a week!
Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

I had a mini getaway (which was awfully nice!) & now I'm back. I bought some hanging baskets & plants & wandered around in Lowes.
I want to get a reliable little vacuum cleaner that really "sucks". We have a dirt devil & I find it to be a POC. I almost wish I had never got rid of my old Hoover upright as it worked just fine. What kind of vacuum cleaner do you have & does it work well? My major challenge here is dog hair.
Just wondering...
