So very true. The 1st time it started ringing, at 11am, I felt faint & my heart was beating a mile a minute. Couldn't believe it, then it happened at 2pm, 5pm & at 7am this morning, but each time the phone went dead after about 20 rings. I guess they found their 7th caller. If they had answered the phone, I probably would have had a coronary.

School-zone safety blitz launches post-March break

With March Break in the rear, Toronto Police are launching a safety blitz to start the work week. It will focus mainly on pedestrian safety inside of school zones. The two week campaign will see officers cracking down on speeding, distracted and aggressive driving. During the launch at Cornell Junior Public School near Lawrence and Markham, Mayor John Tory will also announce the next steps in the city’s "vision zero: road safety plan," which focuses on school zones and areas around schools.

Liberals to spell out priorities today in throne speech

All eyes will be on Queen’s Park today as Ontario’s lieutenant-governor will deliver a throne speech to lay out the liberal government's priorities ahead of the provincial election on June 7th. Premier Kathleen Wynne prorogued the legislature last week to set up today's speech and has denied opposition claims that it's just an attempt to wipe the slate clean before the election. Wynne says proroguing the legislature is the only way her government can lay out its priorities in the lead-up to the provincial election. Meantime, NDP leader Andrea Horwath will unveil more details today about her party's platform. She will be holding a media event to discuss her plans to offer universal dental care. Horwath is also campaigning on universal pharma care and de-privatizing hydro one.
