How do you get rid of Squirrels?

Now Im unable to work a vegetable garden I usually feed the squirrels but I cant have a bird feeder any more as they make such a mess of it.Poor birds I miss them.
Our little dog(deceased) used to chase the squirrels away and we had robins nesting in the garden because she chased the cats away,now shes gone, we get lots of cats going through so no robins.

I would never hurt a squirrel. I can not believe some of the violent suggestions being posted. Now the non violent ones work well.

We actually have a squirrel house I made (was suppose to be a bird house but I messed up). We have a mama squirrel who has babies twice a year. We really enjoy seeing the babies every year.

I think if you've ever had them do severe damage to your house or property you might think twice about them plus the fact that many people look at them as rats with fluffy tails. Personally they don't affect us too much because we have cats that keep them away but when they got in our chimeny and ate throught beams compromising the structure in the attic to build their nest in there, well let's just say they got on my "hit list".

I love squirrels..and yes even when they destroy my garden! BUT a good and none harmful way is to use cayan peppers in your soil, they do not like the smell and will leave it alone.
Remember ppl there just looking for food, juts like any animal...I am sure you would not go and kill a dog or cat bc they were digging through your garden looking to survive.

I am serious people WOLF PEE. My friend swears by it and it is hamrless and does not even smell to humans.

One of my neighbors, may he rot in heck, used to shoot all the animals in the neighborhood with a beebee gun including the dogs and cats. One dog had tumors grow around the pellets that were stuck in her. The owner didn't know and the poor thing suffered for months. He also used to shoot the birds off the wires and throw them into my girlfriends back yard. We were laying on lawn chairs one time and he didn't know we were there and he tossed one over right near us.

Some people suck.
