For the next few weeks I will do only one thing on here: Get rid of rude people

It really is a very nice advantage that we have people like you, Boo - and all of the Mods! - to really help clean things up. Unfortunately, the internet offers an extreme sense of anonymity for certain people and they use this for the wrong reasons. It is almost comparable to a sports brawl - people feel as if they are not responsible and they can not be singled out, so they act out in physical violence or scream obscenities... A bit of an extreme comparison, but it's true... a lot of rude and sarcastic people feel much more confident picking on others when it is through the action of a keyboard and they are masked. I go on SC everyday, and thankfully I have not seen any of this going on! I would be appalled to see any sort of rudeness...

As I always say, you get more flies with honey!! :o)

I am glad this is being done, I too have been caught up with the negativity and A either posted something that sounded rude or answered something rudely, and I am truley sorry for that. 2 days ago everything was nice, no rude posts or anything, then yesterday and today, rude thing again. I will be glad when we can all act like the happy couponers that we are. Thank you to you Boo and all the Mods for the very hard job you have to do around here, it's got to be very time consuming.

WOW! I can't believe that it has come to this! I wish all the MOD's good luck! I do not envy any of you in any way! Goodness, taking the time to read every post, to make decisions on tone and the writers intentions... a HUGE responsibility. I too hope no one takes advantage of this and tries to get others kicked off!

I'm another newbie and I must not get around much! LOL I haven't had any experience so far on this site with negative comments. Everyone so far has been really helpful and I appreciate this place very much!

Sorry it's come to this -- I feel terrible for all the mods who have to take care of it.

Just a suggestion: I moderate another, private-ish forum where the mods' handles appear in green, admins appear in red and all others in blue (or black, something like that - I apologize, my toddler has insisted on watching "The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That" and I am thinking in rhyme).

It's pretty easy for the mods to step in and say something along the lines of "Play nice" or "watch it" and have it listened to because everyone knows they're mods.
