^^^ that's neat... it really makes you feel you are there when you see a monument for the first time.. the first time I went to New York was just a few weeks after 9-11 and the World Trade Center towers weren't there and it just didn't seem like I was looking at New York...

I'm gonna call it an early night tonight... DH and I are off earlyish tomorrow to go to the "Culture Crawl" where you go to a part of the city where all the artists live and they open up all their studios and you can walk through them and see their art and where and how they create it and talk to the artists and maybe even consider buying some...

and then we are dropping in to the "Pyrogy Lunch" put on by the Ukrainian Community Centre nearby... cabbage rolls, borsht, Ukrainian sausage, pyrogies, lots of sour cream, home made apple crumble... and shumka dancers...

and then we get our butts back downtown to take in a matinee performance of "Moulin Rouge" by the Royal Winnipeg Ballet at the Centre for the Performing Arts, which is (conveniently) across the street...

and then I gotta get my butt down to SDM for the 20Xpoints event!

and then I really do have to sort through all those coupons you sent me!

... or I could just cancel everything and just do the SDM points event... hmmm
