Many of us have been approved for nicotine replacement therapy through the stop smoking study.
Congratulations to everyone accepted, and congratulations (pat my own back) to take this next step.
This thread will be dedicated to our concerns, our moments, and our moods. Anything goes when quitting smoking.
We are here to support each other.

I'm going to the interview with a pharmacist tomorrow pm!

My interview is not until Oct 30 @ 1:15. They are booked solid.

The first pharmacist I called never returned my call and the line was often busy so last week I contacted another one and had to wait 1 week, so it's been since October 1st for me.

I guess I did well by getting in next week. I called tonight.
I think I am going to gear myself up to quit that day. It will be the anniversary of when my father passed away. He has been gone 28 years.

I got accepted too but have not called yet. I had quit for almost a year (zyban and the patch) but decided I could have a smoke 'here and there' - um nope. Now I have to go through this all over again, but I'm ready to do it this time! Great idea for a thread koala, thanks!

Yeah I did, but I caved. Started with just one or two here and there but that didn't last. Now i'm back to buying a pack every couple days (I think the stress of practicum made the cravings worse!).
