grrrrr I hate when people undermine me

I answered an email about vacation saying they could have 23rd December off so they could fly out earlier for Xmas then they emailed my boss and told them they had booked a flight for the 21st and was that ok and they had spoken to me about taking extra time off at Xmas

I copied my boss on it, he remembered seeing me giving permission but didn't remember the date off the top of his head and didn't check. This is someone who hasn't even started yet so its not a good sign for his future

Honestly, if he was that fussed about leaving on the 21st, I would have given him the Monday off too, how much work is he really going to get done on the 1 day of the week

He is on contract so isn't even entitled to vacation too
