Aight, long day that ended pretty eventful!!!
...Thrift Store...
jean shorts = $0.75
Hello Kitty skirt = $0.75
Total w/tax = $1.58 *I think each was suppose to be $1, but hey!*
...Safeway...
(4) chocolate bars ($0.99 each), minus (2)B1G1, instore B1G1 = FREE
Total w/tax = $0.05
Tax should have been $0.10 but the second time around the cashier didn't deduct the coupon as the Safeway card took one off... so I started to say something, but she said "Ya..." as she looked at the coupon again, then put it thru... including the tax.
The one receipt says "Total Savings Value = 103%"!
...Zellers...
SPC = Discount of 10%
milk (clearance $1.50), minus SPC = $1.35
Activia yogurt (clearance $2.50), minus SPC = $2.25
Olive/Lime fusion body spray (clearance $1.49), minus 25% instore, SPC = $1 *smells fantastic!*
St Ives Mineral Clay (clearance $3.69, scanned $2.79), minus instore 25%, SPC, $2 = $0.12 MADE
(2) Nivea Hand DNAge (clearance $3.89 each), minus instore 25%, SPC, (2)$2 = $1.24 for both
Scratch & Win card gave me 5 000 HBC points!!
Totol w/tax+deposits = $6.38
I had to use the washroom so I stopped in at the Zellers one... there was a woman in a stall that was bleeding (female style!) with blood clots and in a lot of pain. Possibly a miscarriage... ambulance was called. I felt pretty helpless... but I stayed in the bathroom, kept her company. Zellers employees handled the ambulance and came to check in/get more info. She was a mom of two girls (ages 7 and 5) whom were sitting on the counters with the sinks. Made great friends with my almost 3 year old girl, lol. EMT's came and we exited the bathroom and I watched over the girls as they picked my little one up and down, swinging her around, lol. I saw the woman come out on the stretcher but didn't get to say anything... and once I knew the girls had someone coming for them, I left to catch the bus. *sigh* So that was an intense finish to my day. No idea how she is doing.
Completely forgot her name, too.

Great deals and so nice that you stayed with that woman, she must really have appreciated that. I have had several miscarriages myself and they are not fun. If they got her to the hospital though she should be fine

Super cute Hello Kitty!
How kind & sweet of you to stay with a stranger and her kids during what must have been a terrifying time for them all.

Nope. First cashier did the coupon, then scanned my Safeway card... a little shocked to see $0.05, but happily stated it was only $0.05.
The second cashier took the coupon in her hand, scanned card, read coupon, totaled it... it was $1.04. And I mentioned what happened in my brag, lol. She didn't seem impressed, but didn't say anything. I was ready to say I just did the same thing at another cashier, lol.

Thank you for your help! Imagine how scared the girls and mom might have been if you weren't there! Something put you there at the right time! You were the "angel" today!

I'm sorry.
They get every cent back from the manufacture. So, nope... not ripping them off. lol Maybe try explaining that? Be confident and let them know you use coupons often and you are aware of how it works when the stores sends coupons out to manufactures to get their money back, 100%.
*shrugs*
