$40,000 FINE if within 65 ft of oil VIDEO !!!!
Reporters of the press have been voicing frustration over the lack of transparency and the inability to gain access to 'free' journalism sites, in regard to the Gulf Coast Oil Disaster. Someone is attempting to limit public information!
personally I think this is HORRIBLE, the US gov is trying to cover up its mess. total BULLThis thread is currently associated with: N/AGet GC's and many more Prizes! http://prizezombie.net/welcome.php?r...=improperganda

When is the truth ever allowed to come out about things? When it's too late or when people uncover the truth for themselves. This is a huge disaster on a worldwide scale. This could potentially kill everything, harm people and cost billions upon billions. They may never be able to clean it all up and if a hurricane comes through that area, the oil will be dispersed throughout the whole ocean and all surrounding land masses killing, posioning, and contaminating water supplies and fields.

IF only they gave a hot dang about how anyone feels, Winston. Just another "entitled" company in the pockets of the ruling party. And I thought only the Republicans were the bad guys. :-(

Just playing devil's advocate here, but I wonder if this is some sort of safety issue? If someone gets injured while within a certain distance, they're liable for any costs (it's the land of law suits, after all). And this isn't the same as a company deliberately dumping toxins into the ocean, BP is losing billions with each day that passes without resolving the oil production issues. I doubt there is anyone *more* desperate to resolve all issues.
What I found amusing was BBC's handling of the unfolding news story. It started off with a report of the American oil company & the disaster. As the days went by, they started referring to BP as an international corporation. Then they did stories bewailing the fact that there was a backlash against the Brits. Never once did they call BP British Petroleum, although that's how they usually refer to the company in other stories. It was interesting how they distanced themselves from the disaster.
