So I was thinking about this when I first signed up and was wondering how many freebies I might receive and how many contests I could win within my first month of getting involved in these sorts of things. I started tracking a month from the first day I received ANYTHING related to my usage of this site/forum. June 21st was the first day I got something in my mail, and it was my WebSaver coupons as well as a purchase I made because of this site that came with 7 samples. Since then it has been one month and one week, so here are my stats:

Companies That Sent Me Something After I Emailed Them: 15

Registration Related Samples/Coupons and Survey Awards Received: 66!!

    Individual Contest/Promo Code Wins: 8
    Duplicate Contest/Promo Code Wins: 12

    UPC's/MIR's Sent in: 10
    Approximate UPC/MIR Savings: $160+

Coupons Received: Countless Honestly, I'm way past the 500 mark already after online sites, just one train and a couple of trades, as well as sleuthing at the supermarket! Please don't ask me to count them

As far as my total savings go, that's a little harder to track right now as I would imagine a lot of people just starting out couponing tend to spend more at first seeing as there are so many more deals worth taking advantage of where items worth stocking up on are concerned. I can say that I went grocery shopping this last week and instead of spending $100 (on two weeks worth of groceries), I spent $85 and I'm pretty good at hitting $100 exactly, so I'd say that's a pretty good improvement

Oh ya, and remember... This is just what I have already received, sent for, or won, not all the companies I've mailed, things I've signed up for, or contests I've entered! I love this site! <3

You've done great! It happens quick, doesn't it?

When I first started trading coupons, I had to keep modifying my wish list because after the first 3 or 4 trades, I had most of what I wanted already and had to say, "I need to slow down" because there's no way I can use the ones I've got or trade the ones I don't want in time before they expire."

Yes, it does happen quickly, especially if you spend a fair time doing it Mind you, I've been more distracted the past 3 weeks and I think my mailbox/winnings might be a bit more empty in the coming weeks because of that. I hear you on modifying your wishlist as well though. I was blown away by the generosity in my trades, especially a particular one. I feel 'coupon spoiled' if there is such a thing

Me share contest winning tips? lawl I feel pretty darn unlucky a lot of the time, but that's expected with entering so many and so often I guess, though I see others being a lot more lucky than me in the same contests (I just keep saying 'maybe I'll win the big prize' . What I listed also included instant, guaranteed 'wins' from promo codes and such found inside packaging, so like the kellogg's shirts, etc. (though I didn't include iCoke points)

I prefer instant win contests with daily or weekly entries, especially if I can enter them multiple times with different (non-unique) UPC's or something. The prizes aren't generally large (at least yet for me) but there seems to be a higher instance of winning them and the gratification helps with the feelings of bad luck I'm also a night owl and tend to try my luck later at night which is how I won a $10 iTunes card, $100 coupon booklet, and free ice cream Idk what more I can say on that though.. The more you enter, the more you're likely to win something so don't give up because of 'bad luck'... I think the biggest winners deal with a lot of bad luck before they win, too.

    Here's my list:

That's great. I agree though that at first you may stock up more and spend more but after that it's a matter of topping up your stockpile and you can sit and wait for months sometimes to get the best deal.

In part, I can't wait for that, and in another part, I dread it, because I am not looking forward to putting myself on a shopping ban
