The dance partners were announced -

- David Arquette is paired with Kym Johnson, the defending champion (she won with Hines Ward in Season 12) returning for her tenth season.


- Ron Artest joins Peta Murgatroyd, a Troupe member last season making her debut as a pro.


- Chaz Bono will dance with Lacey Schwimmer, who is back for her fifth season.


- Elisabetta Canalis joins Val Chmerkovskiy, Maksim’s brother, who is making his “DWTS” debut.


- Kristin Cavallari is paired with Mark Ballas, a two-time champ returning for his ninth season.


- Nancy Grace teams up with Tristan MacManus, a Troupe member from last season making his debut as a pro.


- Robert Kardashian joins Cheryl Burke, a two-time champ who is back for her twelfth season.


- Carson Kressley will dance with Anna Trebunskaya, who returns for her eighth season.


- Ricki Lake is teamed with three-time champ Derek Hough, who returns for his eighth season, after sitting out last season.


- J.R. Martinez is paired with Karina Smirnoff, who returns for her ninth season.


- Chynna Phillips joins Tony Dovolani, who is back for his twelfth season.


- Hope Solo will dance with Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who returns for his eleventh season.


Among the pros not competing with celebrity partners this year are Louis Van Amstel, Chelsie Hightower, Dmitry Chaplin.

Glad this has finally started! First of all, I don't like the set changes!

Seemed to me those with the Viennese waltz did better - Ricki Lake's was awesome with Derek, just very graceful. David was okay, and I think he'll get way better with time. Same with Rob, shows potential.
JR was quite good.
Carson was funny and fun - hope he sticks around for a while. I like that he said he wished he had been paired with Maks.

Elisabetta - not good. Ron wasn't great - he may go home.

Ah, I figured Ron would go home, but didn't think Nancy would be in the bottom two!
Uh, and really, he just changed his name last week to Metta World Peace? Sheesh!

I`m torn between JR, Ricki and Chaz LOL I think all 3 did great but when Chaz danced, the smile on his face was so huge he really was enjoying himself. Ricki was good and well I like her but I do adore JR and I`m pulling for him too. Hrmm.. I`m torn I tell ya. TORN!

Hope and Maks' dance was cute - but ew on the costume for him!
Kristin, quickstep - really nice, Hollywood glam
David Arquette - too crazy
Elisabetta - gee, not too cooperative in practice; performance was nice, though - loved her dress!
Rob - he looked like he was having such fun; where on earth did they find men's pink and white shoes? His dance was pretty good!
Carson - gee, he danced so very awkwardly, not good at all.
Ricki - wow, really good! Uh, but why do we need to see all of these boobs???
Chaz - aw, not good. Way too slow, hurt knees or not...
Chynna - was okay, not much wow...
Nancy - (uh, those two are just way too touchy-feely, even on the entertainment shows when they are shown leaving the studio, etc.)
- Ok, too many boobs again! Sheesh!
- she danced really well, though!
JR - wow, really good! Those two dance so well together!

I watched the show online this morning, because I couldn't watch much of it last night.

Then this morning, finding out about Nancy's wardrobe malfunction, sheesh!

Cover them puppies, women!

Not surprized Elisabetta went home, but I feel bad for her partner, Val.

Next week will be good, with the personal stories/dances. Last year's sure was nice...

The segment with the Twist was neat - cool that they had Chubby Checker on!

Unless they are really good the people nobody knows go first. I'm just happy JR is still there...I miss my All My Children....it's all I got left.

JR continues to be on top! He's amazing!

Not shocked Carson went home - but miffed that Maks and Hope were in the bottom two. She didn't dance so well this week, but has really been doing great before.
