Safeway's Sweet AirMiles Deals

I went to the Safeway liquor store in Calgary's Mackenzie Towne, But all of the Safeway liquor stores were listed on the flyer so I assume it was happening at all of them. I got the store phone number so I can call and ask when they are having it. The guy told me they do it a couple of times a month.
I found the items that I bought to be almost the exact same price I would buy them somewhere else.
I looked online for a Safeway liquor store flyer but could not find one, and I even emailed Safeway to ask them how I would find out about these specials, but I didn't recieve a relpy.

You get AMs on BOGOs.

sale BOGOs sure, but when using BOGO coupons it depends on how the cashier enters the coupons, I've had several refuse to enter them as a $ amount and insisted on scanning both items and then voiding one off.

Seems like the wrong way to do it especially from an inventory standpoint, but it's happened to me several times now.

I'm surpriSed they"d void it as you still are supposed to pay the tax where applicable.

I've only ever had them take off the $ amount and half the time I have to do the math for them. ;-)

Got a response to my email about not getting any Safeway coupons in the mail out and missing 5 AMs from the final month's Tool Bar.

Said sorry 'bout Safeway but only certain people got them but here's 25 bonus to make up for it! ;-)

It appears AirMiles has now cut the 2 for 1 movie tickets further reducing the average value of an AM.

I think they are just trying to get people to use the AMs up as they must have a tremendous liability.

Even without airmiles its a good deal on cheese, $6 for 700-750g blocks of cheese (cheaper than WM's recent $4.97 black diamond 500g - 75¢ coupon)

Well, I finally got to McBride but unfortunately didn't need $100 worth of anything so no 250AMs. CSR told me the 250 AM thing is because of nearby competition.

And is not featured in the current flyer. Can anyone confirm that this event is still active?

It's 10% Off Tuesday (Minimum $35 purchase).

Not much there this week except the yogurt in my case. Perhaps it's because of 10% Tuesday or possibly the manufacturers are cutting back on Airmiles now.

I didn't see anything noteworthy in this flyer either. That's 3 weeks in a row of nothing. But I will use my mail out AM's coupons on the %off day. So I will get a few.

Figure I'll use my rain check on the ER corn on Tuesday.

They'll be $0.71 each and I'll get $1.33 in AMs on each of them.

I'll use the salad coupon too this weekend as we're picnicking with friends anyway.

Some questions as I have never used this kind of coupons before. How much are these Salads? Can you use this coupon more than once. I can not really read small wording at the bottom clearly. Apparantly, it says at the bottom to scan the bar code, but I don't see any thing that could be sanned. Thanks.
