Found more of my BOGOs on Windex so bought 6 more: $9.80 after tax + 100 AMs ($10.50)

If I sell them for $1.25 each at a garage sale money is recovered and bonus on the AMs. If I don't then the product was effectively free.

I've donated thousands in the past. This amount is too small. Mind you I could save up.

Nothing too special this week coming. There's a Lysol offer but I think is cheaper at Rexall @ $2 each even after accounting for the AMs. Should have it all posted later.

Shoot OB, that seems to be a regular theme, nothing much the next week, so I run there on Thursdays to get the last of the old deals...ah well, still got 5,000 AM for the last week of the auction, maybe that ipod touch will show up yet

Thanks for the early update, though!!

    Shoot OB
All might not be lost soon. The only way Safeway will be able to compete against these two is by ramping up the AM offers!

Interesting article...never thought of Target shopping experience as fun...my perception of them was as a WalMart price competitor...don't know how much validity there is in the market analysts' opinions--Metro and Safeway weren't mentioned at all, I believe...despite their regional statures, they still are significant, Metro especially on the investment side.

I used to live close to a Metro grocery store in Toronto, but I couldn't justify shopping there very often. I found the prices high and the Air Miles bonus offers a fraction of those typically available at Safeway. That being said, the store seemed to do alright given the fact that it was the only decent sized grocery store in a trendy downtown neighbourhood.

I bought 48 bags of Uncle Bens Bistro Express today - on sale wub 5 minimum at $2 each. There were 4 pads of $0.50 off coupons in front of the product (I had some of these already, but now I have more). Used a $10 off this week wub $75 coupon from the weekend too.

While counting bags and coupons I got a cell call. Stood in the aisle and watched three people grab a bag or two at $2.50 and not bother to grab from the obvious tearpads. Even before I got serious about coupons I would always grab the obvious savings.

Are there many tear pads out there these days?

The fellow that did a lot of it here passed away about 6 months ago and I haven't seen much out there. Don't know if it's his passing or companies just aren't producing them any more.

They still do them at my Safeway--a lot of people don't notice them though. (Do have a few for when VH1 steamers go on sale w/AM's though)
Superstore prints their own, of course, only redeemable at their store, which takes the fun out of it!!

BTW, no mention on their FB page about today's GB, so maybe it'll be a goody!!!

question for the Safeway experts...so went today and got BOGO sunlight laundry detergent. Used my fpc from sunlight pin contest so got 6 bottles of laundry detergent for free (3 coupons). My question is: should I be paying the tax. The guy who was "person in charge" told me you pay tax and enviro levy if applicable. Now I paid $2.86 for 6 bottles of laundry detergent, I am not complaining, but if I just walked in the store and got 1 bottle and gave my coupon, shouldn't it be free like the coupon states and I pay nothing??? What do you guys think?
    thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, the tax man wants his money! Was that B0G0 in the flyer or an instore special? I have 7 coupons waiting for the B0G0!
