Rain-check power, Bob...just got a call from my friendly Safeway's they special ordered me in Stagg's Steak House Chili BOGO from February (they were nice enough to extend the 90 day deadline on the rain check, when I just found it) so that was 74$...the rest was pop, chips for the card game tonight, and meatballs, and Green Giants broccoli with personalized coupon spent 107 got 170 AM...oh and by the way we tried to use the email and flier 100AM coupon; only one worked.

So now I have an ample supply of long-shelf life food (I watched "Doomsday Preppers" this week, so I figured I'd best stock up), and AM to use in case the world doesn't end

As for the gift card coupons in email...I was told that each purchase had to be done separately (that is the 25$ and the 50$ card couldn't be bought together with 25$ of stuff to get the 100$ bonus AM)...boy AM are sure tougher to get than SDM points...just bought a bunch of cards there this week for bonus points (like Santa Claus, it only comes once a year).

    Unadvertised offer I believe:

This works for as part of a B$50G$10 offer plus I think I might have some valid B3G1 Knorr coupons or something.

Sorry for delay--yeah this was the kind of idea, but she was collecting on the spend 40 get 50AM which is an ongoing, no coupon needed local promotion, but I thought GC's were exempt in general...might have to re-inquire about that one...actually after the late football games are decided (NFL, I mean) might just have to head down and buy one 50$ card w/coupon--if I come out with 100 AM's that might change the math a bit

What kind of deal is this? Something about Knorr?

It's an unadvertised AM special on Lipton's soups. The one above happens to be Chicken Noodle packets. There are a couple of different offers. This one is a B3G15 and it's one for 3 for $5 which makes it:

    5/3.42

However, if you use the B$50G$10 email.direct coupon from Safeway and bought exactly $50 worth of goods it would become:

    4/2.42 (for 3 boxes) or 1.33/0.80

If you have the B3G1 Knorr coupons and grabbed exactly 12 (and used the B$50G$10 coupon) you'd only pay $12 (for 9 + 3 free) and get 4 x 15 AMs = 60 AMs = $6.30 making the total order:

    $12/$5.70

    or

    $1/0.48 each

Does the other offer have better value?

    Ron.
Our no frills had them on last week. I like to price match at Walmart then I used a coupon on the sidekicks b3g$1 bringing the price to $2 then I use 2 different zantac coupons for $3 off each giving a .67 cent overage after tax. That gives me a additional $1.34 credit and brings my total down to .66 cents after tax for 3 sidekicks and 2 zantac.

Does the other offer have better value?
Which looks better $0.48 or $1.00 (actually $0.75 at No Frills with B3G1 coupons)?

Alas, it did not work, the fine print mentioned but not stated on the key fob does indeed exclude gift cards--did get the coupon AM for buying the gift card. 50$GC=50AM still seems a better deal than SDM had last week with $150GC=8000SDM pts.
