That's the problem with Air Miles. They can take up to 120 days to add bonus Air Miles with their partners

    thanks...we don't have coop here
as far as the meat grinder- we have an attachment that goes on our kitchenaid stand mixer. (was a xmas gift) and it works really well.

My first attempt at sausage making was with my dad who has a excellent meat grinder. If I was making my own at home I would use a food processor... it works too. (we made brats for me and polish sausage for Dad and it all hit the smoker.... soooooo yummy!) I don't want to think about what a store would charge for this quality of sausage.

    ALERT:

That site we're not allowed to mention has a 40% Cyber Monday 2 rebate on Entertainment Books today.

Entertainment Books are on 2 for $35 today.

You'd get $14 back so total cost would be $21 and you'd still get at least $30 of usable B$50G$5 Safeway coupons (along with all the other coupons).

If you don't know the name of the site send me a PM (Private Message).

You don't have to but if you send me a name you'll register under and email I can refer you and get $5 kickback as well.

Also, I never opt for automatic renewals on the book. You can do much better waiting for these periodic offers.

Yep, this weeks flyer is pathetic. I went on Saturday to get my turkey and I guess that must be the only thing that everyone else was buying too cause they were SOLD OUT - at 10:30am!!! Gonna try again tomorrow and will get a rain check if they don't have them! It's -44 windchill here so going downtown and finding out the shelves are bare and having to go back later is a real bummer brrrrrrr!

Feel for ya! Spent my teaching career in Bill's Puddle where it went to -43 (before windchill). There's nothing you can do to keep warm and you're always walking around with a key in your hand to tap door handles to discharge the static electricity. Had a carpet in my classroom. Little rug rats were always scuffing their shoes on the carpet then sneaking up behind me and tapping me with a finger! LOL!

I found one good deal this week at Safeway, (other then the turkey's). The crest 3D white is on 3/$5 and buy 6 get 40 AM. If you have the last P&G insert there's a $1 off coupon in it so you could just pay taxes if you have enough coupons. 6=$10-$4 worth of AM=$6-$1x6 coupons= taxes
I had 11 coupons so I picked up 12 and paid $1+tax (great for donations)

I might actually hit $200 this week.

Our local food bank has put out a call for help.

Safeway has a Frozen Foods Event with B10G100 on Green Giant for $2.50 each.

    50 hits the max at 500 AMs = $125.

Add in a few other items could hit 700 - 800 AMs around $200 and pick up the 300 bonus.

You'd recover about $86 in taxes and $$75 to $110 in AMs.

You're not making money but helping others at little cost to yourselves.

Off to my Wednesday evening commitment then get the analysis done this evening.

Looks like a combination of Green Giant & Kraft Dinner is your best bet to maximize AirMiles on a $200 spend while donating to a food bank.

Anyone care to work it out?

    I'm figuring:

    $125 Green Giant = 500 AMs
    $80 KD = 200 AMs

    $205 = 700 AMs + 300 AM bonus = 1000 AMs + 10 Safeway Bonus + whatever your credit card kicks back.

You could use an Entertainment B$50G$5 coupon to bring it to $200.

    1010 AMs = $106.05

You can do even better with the Lysol TB Cleaner:

    $125 Green Giant = 500 AMs
    $72 Lysol = 360 AMs

I'm assuming the tax on the Lysol puts you over the $200 limit (approx. $10.08)

    Total: $207.08 ($202.08 after ET coupon) = 860 AMs + 300 AM bonus = 1000 AMs + 10 Safeway Bonus + whatever your credit card kicks back.

    1170 AMs = $122.85

Let me know if I've made any errors in logic here.

I love the idea of doing this for the food bank. Giving veggies is great since they probably get sick of pasta. I am doing this for sure on Fri. Thanks for the great idea.
