If you have a lots of cash miles, then this deal of getting bonus 25AM for 25L is about the same as the one for redeeming 95 AM for $10 and get 20 AM bonus AM. I.e. if you buy 25L and redeeming 190 AM for $20 off, you will get 20AM from the deal of redeeming 95 AM for $10 and get 20 AM bonus AM + the deal of getting bonus 25AM for 25L for a total of bonus 45 AM. If you just redeem 95AM to get $10 gas, you will get 20AM bonus, which is average to a bonus 2AM per litre when gas is $1/L now. So 25L gas @ $1/L will get you bonus of 25L x 2AM/L = 50 bonus AM which is little more than 45AM if you buy 25L in one transaction. If you have cash miles, I think the Shell gas promo - redeem 95 air miles for $10 and get 20 am back is a good deal.
I have done it 10 times. Gassed up to about $10.25. Did the 25L promo to get 25 am tonight. 25 am didn't show up on the receipt though.

Like I said in my post above, the 25 AM for 25 L deal is about the same as doing the redeem 95 AM and getting 20AM deal if you have cash miles. You should have done 2 gas ups of $10 each and forget about the 25 L deal.

Which Shell promo?

1) Use 95 am for $10 and get 20 am back or
2) Fill min 25L and 25 am back?

2nd promo may have expired.
1st promo is from beginning of Feb to beginning of March. Have to double check on exact dates.

I only started a week ago and I have done 1st promo 16 times now.

1st promo's 20 am is always on receipt for me. 20 am show up online after 2-3 days.

I did 2nd promo last weekend, and didn't see 25 am on receipt or online.

Recently West Jet and Air Canada have announced a new lowest ticket class for their flights. I'm expecting Air Miles will now start using this for flight redemptions to increase their profits.

Recently West Jet and Air Canada have announced a new lowest ticket class for their flights. I'm expecting Air Miles will now start using this for flight redemptions to increase their profits.

This new lower class ticket with Air Canada at least, mostly offers no mileage reward and no changes whatsoever.. something that's already applicable to Air Miles tickets.
