Did you miss out on the NIVEA Soap at B2G50 @ $2.71 each?

Talked to a shelf stocker today and he says Safeway does give rain checks with AMs. (I'd been told in the past this wasn't possible).

So I checked and got one for 10 bars today. Could have asked for more.

Go to CS and make sure they find the PLU code in their master book.

was this this weeks offer? i dont see it in the flyer.

i did however stock up on olay body wash. clerk said he needed to do it all i seperate transactions to get the 30 airmiles per 2. so alas...did 2 used $7 off coupon. did 2 more used $7 off coupon. did 2 more (no coupon as it was $7 off 3...) ...totals added up to $16 something for 90 airmiles.

It's listed as B2G50 on NIVEA @ 20% Off with no prices given on p.6 lower left corner I recall.

    2 Best deals are:

    A. Soap (2 bare package) @ $2.71 each = $5.42

    That's around $6.10 with HST.

Even if you buy restaurant gift cards @ $0.125/AM you get $6.25 value. A clear winner. An excellent food banker.

Unfortunately, the soap has flown off the shelves and the 2 nearest me are both out. You can ask for the rain check at CS but the rep will have to visit the shelf to check the price. You'll also want them to look up the PLU code to put on the rain check to get the AMs. A good strategy would be to visit the CS desk at different times with different reps to get multiple rain checks. The one I got I asked for 10 offers (the most to maximize AMs at a time) and they were fine with it.

    B. Hand Soap (in pumps) @ $3.03 each.

    One other thing:

The advantage of the rain check is coupons might appear during the wait period sweetening the deal even more.

    Ooops, made an error:

    It's NIVEA SOAP not Aveeno.

Would somebody be able to help me out here? I misplaced that coupon book which came out some weeks ago with the regular Safeway flyers. Is this coupon book posted anywhere so I could have a look at it? Or is it expired already....
    Thanks a bunch...

Should be some at CS or the cashiers. They do week by week ones there.

    P.1 is updated.

Looking at volume I think you'll find the 6 x 710 while costing more is by far a better deal than the smaller bottles.

our safeway is having a spend a $100 get 100 airmiles event today. i am too sick to go but was just wondering...

if i plan on buying $100 worth of stuff today, i would get 100 airmiles for it
if i plan on buying $100 worth of same stuff tuesday, on customer appreciation day, i would get $10 off or how many airmiles? is it 1 per $10 or 1 per $15 or what? so it could be 100 that way too, right? or $10 off.

You're better off taking the 10% in cash ($10) on Tuesday, but,

The 100 AMs today is a better deal if you spend close to just over $100,

    Why?

    100AMs = approx. $14 vs the $10

Even if you used the 100 AMs for the worst gift card, Shell Gas, it's still worth $11.43 which is better than $10.

If you know you're going to spend more than $114.30 (10% - $11.43 = the same as a gas card) then you have to look at it differently.

Eg. If you spend $150 then 10% ($15) is better than the average gift card at $0.14/AM ($14 on a B$100/G100 offer).

    Hope this helps.

Worth about $42 on a $200 purchase or 21% far better than 10% Tuesday.
