Hi everyone,
Here is the pic: (I don't know how to rotate it, sorry)

I didn't position some of the items properly, so the two big bottles with white tops are Life Brand hand soap, the two big bottles with blue tops are Tide Free Detergent and the spray bottles with yellow sprayers are Mr Clean. I paid $141 and the receipt said I saved $105, but I think it's $115 because I got the $10 Tims Giftcard
.
I know it's not as impressive as some of the other brags but I feel proud of myself.
I used a gazillion (ok, 11) coupons and had to get over myself when the cashier was uncertain and spent some time scrutinizing the coupons and product labels in addition to calling someone on the phone to make sure some stuff was okay (the $2 off Zest bodywash when it was on sale for $3.99 really made her feel that it shouldn't be allowed because "it's already on a good sale"
).
I don't really feel upset with her for taking some time to make sure she was following the rules, but I was very anxious about the people waiting in line.
Some people were making some comments under their breath or stomping around (how does that work for adults?!) so I felt self-conscious and nervous and embarrassed. That's why I say it's not a really impressive brag, like "I got this for $10!!!" but it is impressive because I got over my psychological hangups! Yay me!This thread is currently associated with: Pharmaprix, Shoppers Drug Mart

you did great......wtg! and as for people stomping around, it still beats me but you do become used to it with time. you have as much right to be shopping as they do. if anyone is to be blamed, its the store - they should be opening up more registers when there a line-up.
nice brag!

Excellent savings ! We all get a little uneasy when other customers are making comments. It gets easier when you see all the cash you save. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you =0)
I started a savings log to track how much I'm saving and you're so right -- coming home and typing the details into Excel .... it was totally worth it!!!

I get so frustrated when cashiers don't want to give you something because it's already cheap. Who cares, they still get paid! I always think they're just jealous that I'm saving lots of money!

LOL @ Caitie! Imagine a world where cashiers and customers were on the same team, rooting for each other, trying to make life easier for each other ... hmmm ...

great shopping, you did fabulous. People who stomp around and get mad are to be ignored. I once said to one of those types, oh, I had some extra coupons I was going to give you for some of the things you had in your basket, but it's obvious you want to get out of here as quickly as possible, so I won't hold you up any further with coupons. The person was somewhat taken aback, lol.

great line!! i'm definitely going to use that.
i too get anxious when people mutter under their breath in line... but i agree, anyone who has a sore attitude towards couponers (cashiers or fellow shoppers) are jealous that they dont have the time and patience.
WTG!!
