Is it because we are a consumer-related forum that we get so many spammers? It would be nice to have a thread just for them, and that they would follow the rules of just posting on it, rather than cluttering up the whole board. BTW, do they know just how obnoxious they are?
We're generous at SC...we can give them one itty bitty thread, right? This thread is currently associated with: N/A

LOL why use a thread when they can spam at the top of the forum?
But yes, SC does seem to get more than its fair share of spammers, thankfully they are mostly the type with links they want you to buy stuff or video sites etc and not the or animal cruelty ones other sites get hit with

I've noticed a lot more spam across the internet in general over the past few months.
My history forum has been spammed several times and my housekeeping forum has several "sexy dress" and a couple of "strange toy" threads recently.
The only ones that haven't been spammed are the ones where new members are moderated for a certain number (20, I think) of posts. It's a shame that admins/mods have to do that in order to keep their board spam free.

they would never listen. spamming is usually a type of marketing/advertisement. They arent out to follow rules, and they dont care who they pee off. Sure if they spam in here, 98% of us will be ticked off, but there is still 2% that might click that link,(curiosty killed the cat..) which in turn..benefits the spammer. boo...lol
