My Walmart no longer accepts printed coupons due to fraud, and we can't use a competitor's coupon and a price match together because the competitor coupon is already keyed in as a price match.

If you go to the walmart site, and submitt a question in the contact us form, they will call you and tell you the policies of the walmarts you shop at. I did this and although some stuff varies, the BOGO is tax free if it says it in the coupon, same as the FPC if you read it and it says includes taxes ect then it is included. I was informed that the walmart I shop at doesn't accept compentitors coupons anymore, but I never used them anyways. These" guildlines" can get everyone in a huff and thinking they are correct when in some situations they are not.
Just remember dont blow up at the cashier when you read something on the internet. I liked that they called me and I got to speak to a rep from that store on their coupon policy. Every place IS different. Some places dont allow internet coupons due to fruadulent ones being used, some do. ect ect..Last edited by cherielake; Sat, Aug 11th, 2012 at 07:54 PM. Reason: spelling -.-

If you read the back of manu coupons that are found in the coupon zone stores you will see that they are only good for those stores and even thou the say manu coupon they are a promo exlcusively for thous store and would be considered a Coupon zone coupon and not a true man coupon, because any other store not specified in the fine print ,will not get reimbursted for them.
P.S.
A policy heads up; these policies are guidelines and at anytime can be refused for any reason ie: to many people getting overages, abuse of coupons, want to save some for other customers instead of letting you clear their shelves, employee had a bad day, all accepting of coupons is at the sole discretion of the store manager and only the store manager. So be polite, you win some you lose some.Last edited by lms1979; Fri, Aug 17th, 2012 at 08:28 PM.

Since CouponZone coupons are competitor's coupons (I swear some people don't read the back to see this because when I point out how they'll see it on their receipt, they look at me like they don't know what I'm talking about until I show them the back and the stores it lists on it), the way they are supposed to be processed at Walmart is like a price match (so you won't see it come off the bill as a VENDOR COUPON, unless it's a manufacturer's coupon. Which makes sense since Walmart isn't going to be getting any money back from anyone when it's a competitor's, not a manufacturer's coupon). So if the CouponZone coupon is for $1.00 off x product, then the cashier is to price match the product as Walmart's price less $1...so if the product cost $3 at Walmart, the cashier would use the price match code and enter the price as $2 (and that's the amount you will see as the price for the product on your receipt). The cashier then rips up the CouponZone coupon and tosses it in the garbage because it's useless to the store. HOWEVER, I know the store I work at, it's either price matching with the flyer OR the CouponZone coupon......we are not to price match the product with the other store's flyer, then reduce it again by the $1 CouponZone coupon for the item. It's one or the other...not both. And that's because you're already getting the price match with the flyer.

Walmart's policy actually says that the competitor coupon has to specify a price to be accepted. While many do accept $1 off coupons, there is no set policy about it because they should not be accepting them

NO COUPON ZONE IS NOT TO BE TAKEN AS A PRICEMATCH. the stores that are doing it shouldn't be...and then no you shouldn't be using a manufacture coupon on top of that. Fallenpixels is correct in her post. I wish all good couponers would follow that rule and stop ruining it for the rest of us...It may cause Walmart to change their guidelines to exclude overages etc...thanks

Each store manager can adapt the coupon policy as they see fit for their store since they manage their store's budget/inventory. So what one store does may not be what another store does.
I am a cashier at Walmart. As you will note in the posted document, which is the instructions for cashiers (and I'm surprised someone would release that, since it's an internal document - my store asked me to print out this forum posting to bring to them when I told them it was posted online), under competitor's coupons, the cashier uses Code 2 on the register -- Code 2 is, guess what, the price match code.
At my store, with Coupon Zone coupons (on the back, it will state only valid at blah, blah, blah), or with Competitor coupons (as you see in the scanned Rexall coupons on here), we will treat them as a price match. So if it states the coupon is a specified price for the product, i.e. $2.99 for the product, we'll price match it as $2.99. If it's one where it states $1.00 off x product, despite what you read in this document, my store will treat it as a price match: we'll scan the item using item inquiry to get our price, then we'll use the price matching code and take $1.00 off our price. On your receipt for either of these, you will not see "Vendor coupon" since the cashier cannot enter it as a coupon: to enter it as a coupon means it's going to be reimbursed by the manufacturer, and if it isn't one that is going to be reimbursed by a manufacture, which a coupon that is only applicable to x stores (i.e. Loblaws stores) will not be, it cannot be entered as a coupon (if the cashier does, they get written up for it), so you'll see the price of the product adjusted instead. Our store will NOT do a price match AND a competitor's coupon - it's one or the other.

I find it interesting that Walmart is suppose to pay the tax on free product coupons?!? (page 3) I never use my FPC's at wm (usually using them at SDM for points or at Safeway for AMs) but if it meant the item would be taxable I might consider it (not food items because they don't have tax but other stuff that is taxable).
Has anyone had experience with them actually giving you credit for the tax/gst on a FPC?

Walmart policy did state free item tax should be included when they deduct the amount, however, every time I need to mention to the cashier, and some stores still won't do it. It is a hassle to do it, I prefer just get from SDM if they sell it, much easier.
