Sorry to be asking....AGAIN! - **Update**

As some of you know, our family has just had a Horrible year! Two human deaths in the family - two pet deaths - accidental injuries - infections - stress - stress - stress!

Well, haven't told you but next Monday - my dh and I are booked to go on a month-long trip - starting in Rome - cruising the Mediterranean and then heading across the Atlantic to Florida where we will spend a week with relatives.

BUT over 2 months ago, I started getting blurred vision in my right eye. After a CT scan and an MRI which found enough worries to warrant another MRI - I've been waiting in line for appointments, results, doctors on medical leave, substitute doctors on holiday - trips to the emergency ward- broken MRI machine - all the while having migraines and blurry vision.

We've ruled out some things but there are "tortuous blood vessels" behind my right eye which could mean nothing or something very serious.

Here's where we stand - I WILL have another MRI on Thursday (if the machine doesn't break down again) and then my opthomologist (who's been great) says that if they find anything serious, the radiologist SHOULD call him by Friday. So our trip hangs in the balance. The big "if" involved also that my blood pressure be ok. For the last few days it has been really high but the substitute for the substitute doctor checked it today and said it's fine.

If I get the ok (or at least not the "DON'T GO) we will go and deal with whatever is happening when we get back.

If it looks dangerous, we will cancel and hope to get back all the money we have laid out so far.

It's hard to get excited when you're anxious about your health.

SO......folks - you've always come through before..... could I ask for a few prayers and best wishes? Thanks in advance, my dear friends

If it gives you any comfort, my husband had the same health issue for a couple months, high blood pressure, migraines and eye issues, turns out it was stress. His CT scan came back clean! Positive thoughts for you

Avon, when it rains it pours doesn't it? Well I do hope that it ends up being nothing more than just a major nuisance for you but will definately keep you in both thought & prayer. And of course your bp is going to be elevated: HELLO...STRESS?!

I hear you on what you are going through! At least you are taking all the right steps and getting things checked out. Many people out there just put it off and off and off and then it is very serious!!!

Chris and I send our best wishes... keep your chin up girl! Chris has gone through hell and back the past 8 months (8 months today as a matter of fact) but has persevered and through his strength and determination is recovering at a rate that nobody thought that he would!

Don't worry about the trip, trips can be taken anytime! Health is #1!!!

Prayers to you and yours... Just remember, no matter what the MRI shows, at least you will have some answers and be able to move forward from there!
