I just started putting "big boy" underware on my son, and right to the toilet(ring) , He had one overnight oops and that was it! He was 2.5 years old.

my son was about 2 1/2 when he was fully trained. i did not use pullups except for bedtime as he still is unable to hold it at night most times. i simply put him in diapers and had him aware of what it was like to be wet. its bad to say but the first few times they poop or wet themselves knowlingly leave them in it for a few minutes and really let them be aware of the mistake. i even had my son help me clean the floor and he kept saying sorry and it helped him realize it was wrong. it really only took 2 weeks for him to fully get it. one thing is be ready to be consistent. we stopped one weekend just a week after we started because we went out of town and basically had to start over when we got home because he relied on the diaper again.
my little guy is a year old and he runs with us to the bathroom when his brother has to go so i have brought out the potty for him to sit on.
i initially trained my eldest on the potty and then he wanted the big toilet so i got him the ring which is so much easier to clean to. we made a trip to walmart and he picked up his own ring and was super excited.
good luck, its tough but a big thing in their lives so reward them.

^^ just pack an extra set of clothes- all kids have accidents- dont worry about- no big deal and if she does have one- do not give her trouble, afterall they have small bladders and when ya gotta go.......gotta go
Maxx has pooped on the potty three times in three days
he is 21 months
Peeing im sure is going to be much harder
oldest was trained at 18months, even at night,
started at 12months with the middle baby and by 18 months she was good, a few extra months for nights and she had way more accidents than the oldest
I just believe to always have a potty in the livingroom and start young- get them sitting on it, read a book or something, make it a part of everyday living like brushing your teeth, and also put them on potty first thing in morning when you roll out of bed. Praise praise praise
