Hmmm... I knew a girl whose mothered followed her around excusing her nasty attitude and bad behaviour by reminding people she was an honour student (But in my school practically all students were honour students anyway). I won't say how she turned out but she wasn't an upstanding person in society, that's for sure....

This has been really awful for the people who lost their points and I think they could use some cheering up while we wait for more news.

Where is Patty Smith when you need her? She always has the funniest pics.

Whether these SCers get their points back or not, what could we do to show our support (I'm not talking about trying to gather up points eeekkkkk!) but small things, ie send a PM, or chocolate, or a card.

Maybe we could pledge to do a RAOK for one of them - whatever we like but just do something to show "hey we know you're hurting" and we care and it sucks.

I was thinking of doing a gabfest/contest type thing in the Welcome Lounge... but instead of a prize each person chooses someone who lost their points to "sponsor" in a way. Each person that doesn that could send them an envie of coupons, a nice card, or even just a word of encouragement. I don't know if it would fly though, I'm still thinking about it!

Oooh, I baked the best cookies today! Brownie chip cookies... they taste like brownies with white chocolate chips!! I got the recipe on the back of the chocolate chip bag

I usuallly make two or three different kinds. This year I'm going to try a new one that I saw in the Toronto Star a couple of days ago...peppermint crisps. They looked really good, hopefully they taste great as they would make a great cookie for Christmas gift giving! Last year I tried a new recipe for toffee covered in white chocolate and cranberries...it was way better than I expected, and I'm getting requests for it at work again this year (last year my shift at work were the guinea pigs while I tinkered with the recipe to get it just right for gift giving).
