    I totally agree! In my original post that was removed...I didn't see all the comments as i was too upset at the time & offline... I only posted to see if points had been taken/stolen as I didn't know what the heck to think if it was a clich in SDM system at the time...I didn't name any names but I guess it got out of hand...anyway, I decided to wait to see what SDM comes up with their investigation....so far not much for answers!!

    When your Optimum card is scanned at hte registere it shows your point balance in the top right hand corner of the screen. At least @ my store (they have the new registers)... I didn't notice it did this until maybe 2 weeks ago when the cashier remarked I had a lot of points and when I looked up on the screen where she was looking that's where it was.

    Not that I think talking about your points balance makes a big difference in this case... both people who had lots of points for multiple 250$ redemptions and those with enough for 1 250$ or a smaller one were both victims here

    never said that, the peoplw who stole your points could of been a group of people, it only takes one person to find your addie in a trade and another to get hold of your SDM card number. so there is no way in tracking all this unless your a computer wiz, so people should respect shoppers decision.

    Since SDM are obviously not making any statement on this and any good HO has a privacy policy and non-disclosure agreement for its workers (and if it doesn't I would love to know as it could negate their policy of not sharing optimum # as any employee could release it) - do you have as much of a problem with this employee breaking her ToS with her employer as you do ppl using bonus points to maximise their points?

    I just figured out that I had my leftover points stolen - 8xxx of them. Thank goodness I did my redemption first...

    I've never participated in any trading, though I DID sign up for the refer a friend event. I fulfilled my part of the deal, but never received my share of the points... I assumed it was one of those things (win some, lose some), but maybe it's more? I haven't had points go missing before this.

    I'm curious what time everyone noticed their points stolen? I redeemed around 12:45AM on the 3rd, Vancouver time.

    I was wondering if there is any update on the points that people lost last week? The reason I ask, is I want to work really hard this year to get lots of points for next Christmas and beat my one redemption this year. However, other than never trading, I am wondering if anything was learned about this, or if SDM have said they are going to change things to stop this happening again? I really don't want to be one of the ones who works really hard all year to get points, and to rely on them for Christmas gifts, to then find they have been stolen. So would really appreciate advice on this. Thanks

    p.s. I don't want to start any bad feelings off again, so if anyone is getting accused I will just get this thread deleted.
