my son is really sick

I do not know what has happened to your son, but do not give up hope. I was 22yrs old when I was admitted to SICU. With everything that went wrong with me and my treatments, I was given less than 1 in 1Million chance I would make it out alive, let alone with my leg. Here are I am 4yrs later and doing much better than anyone could have hoped at the time.

thanks so much for your kind words... they think they found the source of the problem today and are treating him for it... I am praying really hard that his white blood count and the fluids and pain etc.... start to go down in the next couple days....

If they don't I will be freaked out... as they have been trying to figure out what is wrong with him for a week and a half now and treating him with all kinds of stuff and he is just getting sicker :-(

BUT, that being said, I think the diagnosis today might be the right one... it is kinda sucky, but also a releif to know they have put their finger on and therefore can treat him properly... he has been sick since Nov. 19th :-(

If everything goes well, they will let him come home in a couple of days

I'm sorry I have not been on a lot as am very busy and just read your thread this morning. I feel so terrible for you, as I too am a mom of 5 girls ages 23 to 34. I feel your pain, we feel so helpless when we can't do anything but cuddle them and let them know we are there for them.

I am very happy that they may have figured out the issue and are treating it. I will keep him, you and your family in my prayers, and pray for a very speedy recovery.
