    So I took a bit of a hiatus over the last few months. We didn't really need anything, Darren was laid off (he starts a new job Jan 9) and I had started a new job that ended up with a lot of free breakfasts and lunches. Then Darren's mom had a ruptured aorta (she's okay now - recovering), my toddler got croup (gah), and both of us got bad colds.

    So I'm back - I've visited the coupon websites and trolled through SDM and Safeway for coupons. I even did some stacking at London Drugs last week combining printables and the coupons I got at SDM. They offered to open the next till for the woman behind me and she said, "No! I want to see what she does!"

    Despite not really focusing on couponing, we had some pretty good deals over the last few months:

    - Eneloop batteries: Some weird deal through Dell that ended up getting us 50 batteries and 5 chargers
    - Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1: we had a $400 credit at visions because of an unused warranty so I ended up paying $150 or so for it after taxes
    - Used the 50% off Zellers coupon successfully on Friday for a Kitchenaid hand mixer

    So I've purged my binder of expired coupons and am in the process of organizing the others to get back in to this.
