*UPDATE* Asking for prayers, please.

My Mom is going for gastric bypass surgery on Monday, Jan. 9 and although I'm super happy for her, I'm scared as well. The risks are worse for her because she is over 60.

She has been overweight all her life and it has caused her so many other problems- she is so excited about this and I don't blame her.

So could I ask for some prayers for her, please? It would be so appreciated

Also, if anyone has had this surgery or know someone who has I would love to hear your stories. She is a lot braver than I am!

Thank you all, it's all very appreciated. I'm actually a bit jealous of her, just because she has being skinny to look forward to! I'm not jealous of all the hard work she's put in already though- I never knew there was so much involved. I'm very proud of her though

I don't know about the surgery but I just got out of the hospital yesterday after spending my new years in there so I know how uncomfortable and sterile it all feels.
