my cousin had this surgery few years ago, she was still young (in her 20) and had be overweight all her life, she was then followed by a coach to exercise right and she was very glad she did....
a fellow worker had also the surgery done....she had some complications...but she said to me that despite of everythings she went through, she doesn't regret having the surgery....she said she was not even able to walk at her neighbour's before the surgery and now she can take long walks...

A friend of mine had this surgery 4+ years ago now. She struggled right after the surgery (she had two kids under 6 to take care of and ended up lifting her DS - a heavy little guy - too soon), but has had an amazing recovery other than that. She says it has changed her life in every way possible - for the better. Good luck to your mom!

I pray your mom recovers well from her surgery. Please tell her to be very cautious when it comes to her recovery (if she senses anything is not right, to go straight to the hospital). My friends sister had the procedure done 3 years ago, and did not make it (infection had set in). Please, please tell her to be very cautious and again, if she feels sick or feels something is not right, to go straight to the hospital.
I pray she has a very easy recovery time, and I will include you both in my prayers.The average dog
is nicer
than the average person.
