You know, I grew up with my mom always wearing an apron, the kind at the waist.
I've never even used one - and have spots all over my clothes from cooking to prove it!
I'd need the kind with the bib in front, though - I always get grease spots there.
I have an apron which my Baba embroidered - and used - it's absolutely gorgeous.
In those days, everything was embroidered... some of her embroidery is in the Ukrainian Museum here.
