The rescue group I am working with (I foster dogs from) are being given Nutrience dog food and they have more that they can spare.

If any of you knows a good shelter or rescue groups (except Paws for life and Sophie's adoption) please tell me and we can provide a lot of bags.

SPCA Monteregie may be in need of some (450) 460-3075

There are also many food banks who also take dog food for families who can't always afford to feed their dogs properly. Maybe that's an option to consider?

Thank you for sharing...and for fostering .

SPCA Monteregie, is it the one in St-Hubert? If so, it's closing.

If you know any organisation that does take dog food, tell me please.

It's our 4th foster, back when we lived in Newfoundland we fostered 2 beagles. Maggy was adopted within 3 weeks, she was 3 years old. She was terrified of humans but when she got adopted she was a little shy. Prior to being rescued, she was living in a chicken coop outside.

The second one, was a beagle crossed with Border collie of 9 years old named Mason. He was 12 pounds when they found him, had a cauliflower ear and epilepsy. He got back to his healthy 50 pounds with us, got his epilepsy somewhat controled with medication and we adopted him. We just fell in love for him. Sadly he left us this past May.

The fourth one was a Treeing Walker Coonhound that was found at 2 years old in a dumpster in Georgia. You can leave your unwanted pets in dumpster over there, they have some just for that. He was underweight as well. He was fostered and adopted but a split in the couple got them to give him back to the rescue group. He was with us for 3 weeks.

Now we have a 1 1/2 old chihuahua, underweight as well, shy with people but we are working on those 2 aspects. His name is Picsou and he is adorable!

No, the SPCA is in Ste-Angele-de-Monnoir, a little over an hour south-east of Montreal. http://www.spcamonteregie.com/

There's also SPCA Laurentide-Labelle, another very reputable shelter. Not sure if they have a food sponsor already but I'm sure they would appreciate the offer. http://www.spcall.ca/

I am once again amazed by something I've read on SC. There are so many wonderful stories that I've read on here and yours is another of them. Amazing!! Way to go! As an animal lover I also want to say thank you for your hard work.

Thanks ladies, all bags have been donated. Now I need to talk my husband out of adopting the chihuahua we are fostering.

I guess I was not firm enough when I told him we were fostering only and NOT adopting at all for a few rounds!
