Yay ! Finished filing my CRA taxes :)

I did mine on Monday and Netfiled the same day.
My CRA my account says it is assessed as of Feb 24th.
I'm assuming that means my refund will be deposited on Friday.

Yup Telefile and Netfile are pretty fast.

Last year I telefiled and 8 working days or 10 days if you include Sat/Sun after I telefiled the refund was directly deposited in my account , that was fast ..if I had mailed it to them, it would hae taken 8 days just for the envie to reach them

You will get the rent portion as monthly refunds under the Ontario Trillium Benefit..as opposed to a lump sum in previous yearsm

Yeah I know.... I miss getting the rent portion as part of my refund like before 2010.

I wish I knew how to do my own taxes I'm so jealous of you all. I hate paying for someone to do them when ours are so simple. No kids either. What programs do you all use to file these? Do they cost alot? I was quoted 35.00 each to do our taxes.

I did mine in the second week of january. I love tax time. i love doing all the paper works. to me it's a fun way to spend an afternoon. (dh thinks i'm crazy. lol)

Still waiting on my T5 slip but Quicktax is loaded and ready to go just waiting on the stupid gov't to get there butts in gear and not wait till last min to do anything!

I used turbo tax for free. It's easy and I like that it's free for very low income individuals. I used to do it by paper but I just find it much quicker and easier using a tax program and I can netfile it easily too. I don't think I've ever been done this quickly before but i was able to get all my T forms.

If you netfile or telefile it will be assessed in about 2 weeks

I had a business ed. teacher in high school
We did income tax returns for different scenarios.
He made it fun.

We also ran a mini stock market in class.
He brought us a $1000 bill so we could see it (borrowed it from the bank, with collateral).
