We remember sleepless nights & cuddling you in our arms,
Even through a mother’s fatigue, we were captivated by your charms,
The first time that you smiled at us, was like winning the grandest prize,
Your delightment at each & every day with that sparkle in your eyes,
Feeding you off your little spoon, & wiping your little chin,
You shared your little baby thoughts with that toothless little grin,
Your little outfits never fit for long, cause you grew so very fast,
How those rites of passage, remain so unsurpassed,
Soon you were crawling around & getting into everything,
We would take you to the park & secure you in the baby swing,
You started taking steps & soon you were walking around,
We always knew you were into something when you didn’t make a sound,
If you ever got a boo-boo we’d say what is the matter?
How we loved when you’d talk to us in your little person chatter,
You became a terrible two, showed your stubborn side,
But they are still days we reminisce with pride,
The turbulent threes & those fearsome fours,
& of course in the interim those sibling wars,
You were soon off at school & your life branched out,
You were no longer a baby with a cute little pout,
Your school days whizzed past in the blink of an eye,
& we Moms learned the meaning of time does fly,
Now you are grown, but you are still “my child”,
& yes there are more milestones we Moms have compiled,
Being a Mom is a privilege & the best thing that happened to me,
I also think all you Moms out there, will have to concur & agree,

I was actually kicked out of cub scouts when I was a kid because of my "lack of desire to participate". The proverbial straw that broke the proverbial camel's back? I didn't want to eat bananas or pancakes on a camping trip.

The literal english translation of Mardi Gras is "Fat Tuesday". As a larger person, I take offense to this. I suggest we take a more politically correct stance here and change the name to "Mardi Plus".

It's not fine now. Even this light dusting is causing lots of delays, partly because there wasn't enough snow to justify a major plowing / sanding effort. The ramps on the major highways near the airport are a skating rink this morning. It took me 10 minutes to get from the eastbound 401 onto northbound 410.

Well the drive from the Shwa to Scarberia at 6:00 this morning was OK , West end must of gotten a little more snow.

OK. I don't know if I'm going to get in trouble or not but I talked directly to an 8 year old boy who's in my daughter's class at lunch time. Yesterday was the second time since Christmas that he's threatened to kill my daughter. (the first time I was totally irate when I heard he wanted to take out all four of us). The little twerp couldn't even look me in the eye. I didn't even mention what was said buy my approach was "I would like to help. If my daughter is doing anything that bugs you, let me know. I can tell her to stop." he said "she looks at me with a angry face". That's all he could come up with? I don't know what to think. Has anyone else had similar experiences?

...kinda, but not the life threatening bit.... I took a kid off to the side and told him if you continue to stick my kid with pencils, trip him, write on his books and generally make life difficult for my son, I'll kick your f***** ass.....and even if he told a teacher what I said, denial is a wonderful thing....ya gonna believe the s**t disturbing kid, or the parent?....hehehe!!!.....and it wouldn't be a bad idea to tell both the teacher or the principal about what this kid is saying....they may talk to the parent(s) about their little terrorist......TR

Mine's turning 21 this April and plan to take her Vegas for her birthday. She's coming home from university this weekend (reading week) and I'm very much looking forward to having her home. Isn't it great when you actually like spending time with your kids!

I understand, boy's will by boy's, but death threats coming from an 8 yr old?/?? There is something seriously wrong here. If that was my little girl he was threatening to kill (along with her family) I don't think I'd be so calm about it. This is serious situation that should be dealt with before, rather than too late.

...nope, you're not bad at all, MM....some kids just don't get the politically correct thing, and all they understand is that if the threat is bigger than theirs, they will back off.....yup, I am politically incorrect ( hey, I'm from Scotland, complete with temper), and if that kid decided I was a class A b****?.....fine by me....I won't lose a helluva lot of sleep over what an 8 year old thinks of me.....however, I will definitely lose sleep if my kid is being threatened.....needless to say, the kid who went after my son never gave him any more problems after I pulled him off to the side and we had our little "chat".....TR
