In 1972 the chant was:
Da Da Canada ... Nyet Nyet Soviet!!

I remember being in the gym cum auditorium ... the whole school ... watching on those "BIG SCREEN" tvs - you know, sitting high on the huge trolleys.

Everyone was routing for a different Canadian to score and we realized that we were spreading our good wishes too thin ... so we erupted into "Tretiak, Let it In... Tretiak, Let it In."

Apparently Vlad and Ken ended up being really good friends!

Didn't know about Paul's diagnosis. Sorry to hear about that.

Back in 72 I was only 4 so I don't actually remember the game.

This should be a good game , glad to hear the start time is 7:30 not the midnight time someone had suggested to me.

Lucky cause he was behind the Russian net and the play was moving up ice...Phil Esposito intercepted a Russian pass around the Russian blue line and dumped it into the Russian end where Henderson happened to be..
