I order the freebies from them all the time. They're super good quality and the shipping works out to be around like $2 an item. So considering things like the photo mug at a physical store would be around $15 it's an AMAZING savings! My mom and best friend did huge orders with them for Christmas presents and got what would retail for over $100 for $25 in shipping costs. FABULOUS deal! I love their products!

Vistaprint just recently joined the direct mail industry so if you provide them with any of your information, they will sell it for profit.

awalkman has it right. there are many companies that sell "datacards" which is a list of names, postal addresses, emails addresses, etc. that get updated monthly with new consumers, which companies sell for profit.

You can pretty much just do a google search with a company's name and the words "direct mail" or "datacard" to find out.

there are all sort of companies that do this: amazon, victoria's secret, reader's digest.

it is pretty harmless though. they sell your information so other companies can send you their stuff to sell. basically junk mail i guess lol.

I love Vistaprint!! I always order my business cards for just the $5 shipping...250 glossy cards and I've received so many compliments on them.
Also...I've yet to get spammed by other companies...so far so good, I guess.
They're a great company...I've ordered so many free things for just the shipping!

I've ordered from vistaprint and have a reader's digest subscription and I get basically no junk mail. So I'm not worried about them. I'm fairly loyal to both companies. I've had lots of compliments on the items I've gotten from them and have referred a lot of people to them.

Thanks to vangirl87 re: selling our data. I've ordered a few times from them and have been very happy with the address labels, business cards, and little photobook - but yeah, we supply them with a lot of info to get these personal things made.

I tried going back into my account to delete some info but couldn't change the actual orders (of eg. address label details). oh well. but good to know.
