I am 32 1/2wks pregnant right now, so I'm just trying to do what's best for the two of us. I still experience morning sickness. The morning sickness was so bad earlier on in my pregnancy that I lost 20lbs. I have slowly been able to gain back the needed weight for our baby boy. He weighs close to 5lbs right now and I still weigh 5lbs less than before I was pregnant. They figure I should gain 15-25lbs by the end of my pregnancy, from my pre-pregnancy weight. I am currently at -5lbs and they figured I would be +15-25lbs by the end of my pregnancy (7 1/2wks from now). Not that I'm complaining, but morning sickness seems to be making sure I won't have much baby weight to lose.

as a bit of an update. I started 6 days ago on a site called myfitnesspal. OMG its so good. you track EVERYTHING you eat and drink including snacks/drinks. it asks you for some personal info to help calculate the amount of calories you can eat. then as you input the food your eating it subtracts tells you how many you have left. it keeps you honest. you can see on the page oh i have 500 calories left.. its 8 pm what can i eat. i haven't weighed myself since Sunday.. will see what this Sunday says. i'll update later with that.. for now go check it out.

Ah ha. Right you are.
*whips chocolate fudge at you*
Wait! WAAAAAIIIIIT! I want the fudge back. Nom nom nom.
MFP is SO flippin awesome. I've been using it for 2 or 3 weeks now and it has really helped me. Some days it has really helped me get depressed (lol....like yesterday after the buffet excursion), but for the most part it has totally kept me on track with my goal. I wish to HUG the person who first posted about it on here!"Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken." Oscar Widle

Just as a side-note...our DD joined Herbal Magic a few weeks ago and is absolutely dedicated to it! She's lost all the weight she needed to (I think 17lbs?) and is back down to a size 8 (which I'll NEVER see!), but they absolutely insist that she drink her 8 glasses of water each day (she takes a container to work with all of it in it, and usually finishes by noon...the rest, she says, is 'gravy')..and also that she HAS to eat absolutely everything that's planned for her. Even, as she says, she has one fruit and one fat left at 9pm, she has to have it! So she has an apple with peanut-butter...
Just saying that not eating enough won't get us where we want to go...and believe me, when I started WW and saw all the food I had to eat in one day I was floored!! But I did what I was told (unusual for me), and the weight fell off!!
So just a reminder...although you all may not need it as much as I did....not eating enough isn't the way to go....

I am not going to touch the fight with a ten foot poll LOL but I did want to chime in on the weight loss since it is a topic I really care about. Some of you may know, since I mentioned it before, that I lost a little over 100 pounds over a year and a half period. I started by making small changes like eliminating triggering foods that I couldn't eat just one serving of. To this day, I still can't eat potato chips because I will eat the whole bag
. After I had a handle on the excess treats, I joined a calorie counting site, it was fitday at the time but I now recommend myfitnesspal since their database is much better. I used online calorie calculators to determine my daily intake then I measured and recorded all my foods. It was hard at first but it became second nature pretty quickly and now I can do a running total in my head. I believe I started about about 1600 calories a day and slowly dropped to 1400. Please don't feel you have to starve yourself on 1200 calories just because a website tells you! They are notorious for starting people too low assuming they need to lose a pound or more per week which is hard to do if you aren't obese. You can eat at a higher level and just remain active! I have severe back issues and exercise is painful for me. I ended up doing workout videos in my basement by Leslie Sansone. They are great walking videos that are very encouraging and low impact. I did these 3-4 times a week and went outside and walked as well.
Please remember that weight loss is 80% diet and only 20% exercise. We diet to lose fat and exercise for heart and body health. It is very hard to exercise off bad eating habits. I would suggest getting a handle on your foods first then adding activities in. I don't like the all or nothing approach of cutting out all sugar, treats and salt. Allowing your favorite foods in moderation is important for not feeling deprived. People need to find a lifestyle that they can stick with for life or they will become burnt out from a strict "diet". My favorite thing to do is to take high calorie recipes and modify them with healthy ingredients. That way my family and I are not feeling deprived. Most important, be kind to yourself and take things one day at a time. If you think, how will I ever lose all this weight, you will feel defeated before you even start. It is better to think how you will get through the day you are living in then focus on the next. Before you know it, you will have accomplished something great. I still surprise myself by my weight loss LOL. If anyone needs any help or a weight loss buddy I am always here and I like to chat

I've lost close to 30 lbs within a 2 months period, the best advise I can give is DIET and supplements. I usually have no energy when I go to the gym, and of course my diet was garbage.
After changing those 2 aspects, better energy, and healthier diet, I feel more motivated and energized to workout!
