I'm trying to trim down - but I'm really HUNGRY! I know I should eat an ice cube or something. What's in YOUR stash that I could eat?

Dill pickles. Frig all calories in them for their size and you can crunch and crunch for hours. They're actually a negative calorie food. Burns more calories to chew and digest them than they have in them, so eat as many as you want!
Edit: Just checked the nutrition label on my beloved pickle bottle and they do have a fair bit of sodium. So if that's an issue for you (high blood pressure) try to get some sodium reduced ones. Otherwise, eat!Last edited by DaveP; Wed, May 2nd, 2012 at 04:46 AM.

Fresh cinnamon buns with cream cheese frosting!
Or, if you want salty - Ruffles sour cream and bacon chips, or Old Dutch salt 'n vinegar.

I have been ravenous lately 24/7. My go-to snacks are:
-a hard-boiled egg for protein,
-a few spoonsful of yogurt (yes I'm gross and eat out of the tub - I'm the only one who eats it),
-a handful of bran buds, or
-a few soda crackers so that the blandness will bore my tastebuds into not wanting any more
Not the most glamorous snacks I know, but as I've been ravenous I'm trying to focus on healthy as I can't seem to turn off the hunger.
Celery and carrot sticks are also good choices (I think they're both negative calorie foods like Dave's pickles), and are on my grocery list for this week.

Cereal, apples, or if you're feeling really naughty, frozen yogurt. And if you make it to the very back of the freezer, I do believe there's Haagen-Das. It's booby trapped with a lot of frozen packages of meat though.

For the past five years, I've always had a midnight snack before bed. I just cannot sleep without a full tummy. I don't think vegetables or water would do it for me though. I crave carbs like crazy!
If anyone knows anything that will work, let me know. My tummy won't be ignored!
Edit: Already backfired. I'm ravenous right now!! (Insert Cookie Monster with "om nom nom" moment here)Last edited by sweet sparrow; Wed, May 2nd, 2012 at 07:54 AM.

Now, I'm hungry for Dill Pickles. I have some banana chocolate chip muffins and a package of spice cookies! Oh yeah, and a Dutch Butter cake. You may share that one.
It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness.

Mmm.... Never had a dutch butter cake, but I spice cookies! What was it Mae West infamously said? "I can resist everything but temptation"?

Lately I have not been eating after 8pm - so if I am hungry I will have a handful of nuts and a glass of H2O and think that breakfast is not to far away haha
But when I get home from work I like to have a snack before supper, I go for some gluten free pretzels, fruit, gluten free rice crackers with either onion hummus or jalapeno yogurt dip from Costco

Now those are my Nemesis!!! I love those chips but they give me a horrible migraine!!! Nitrates...damn you smoky goodness!
I've recently tried the Pop Chips I've seen some people on her talking about, and they are actually pretty good~! I wasn't a fan of the Regular, but im lovin' the BBQ ones.
