Also related to this funny story is that I sent a series of private messages to Sally888 last night about her original post.
Sally888 and I are in the same town, right now, and I *seperately* saw the same lamp curbside, but couldn't get my boyfriend, who was driving, to pull over and get that exact same lamp.

Very nice lamp.
it makes me happy when I put something at the curb and someone takes it. Better their home than the landfill. I live in a city with a huge college so September is a great month to put stuff out because the students are so happy to have it.
Curbmart- i love itFriends don't let real friends pay full price.

I think some of these lamps go in pairs...like they will have 2 side tables and 2 lamps on each one or something like that.
And when one breaks , people just throw the othe one ( which is perfect ) out as they can't find the same one anywhere else..and they don't want to change the symmetry in the house.
I once saw my neighbour throw out 5 perfect lawn chairs as one of his lawn chairs from a set of 6 broke and he couldn't fine the exact same one..he had a patio table in his backyard , with 6 lawn chairs around it.
He kept the table and just got 6 other new chairs around it.
