I knew that my card was $5 M&M, what I wanted to buy was $4.49. The cashier refused to process the card unless I buy minimum of $5 before the tax. She said this is was the manager's instruction. I bought it anyways, added scissors pack for 0.50.

Thank you so much for this post! It saved me a ton of money. I ended up with 9 of the CT cards and bought tide with coupons. Saved a ton of money! Thank you to the poster who figured out the scotch tape trick and bar codes!!!.....and for posting it!
