I generally will use the Canadian spelling on this forum, but on any other forums or games I play that are mainly American based, I will adopt the American spelling. I just find it easier than getting into arguments about proper spelling. Plus my FF spell checker is American. LOL.

I was told in school a 100 years ago we can spell things the British or American way.

My uncle spent most of his career in upper management for a US-based company here in Canada. He now sounds American.

My natural inclination is to use the English spelling, but my spell check is American and it's sometimes easier to just "go with it".
In general, I find that grammar has gone downhill...not sure if it's the user or the auto-fill/correct feature on some phones and devices.
I agree about the Wall of Text...I rarely read those...not worth my time if the poster hasn't bothered to take the time to make separate paragraphs.
