Oh My freakin Goodness, I just spent the last 6 hours reading ALL 98 pages of this thread, between rescuing the baby who has decided that because she can not walk does not mean she can not climb, getting towels and bowls ready for my puking 5 year old and trying to catch up on old PM`s and a few new trades.....I would love to say that I will keep it short but anyone who has read my posts know I would be bullcrapping ya`ll... Also when I log on from now on I will read this post to update myself then read my PM`s...lol

I recieved a PM from the moderator today asking when I did my last trade with Moony25.....eeks...it was finalized 9 days after BOO announced that she was officially banned from trading, I am very worried about this and alot of comments posted on here...I should be quoting but that would take more hours so here goes....

One person commented that a neg rating is hurtful....I agree...it is hurtful only if you are an honest trader.....I have had soooo many trades go missing and have always resent....more than once I re-re-sent! Some of those I re-re-sent were to upstanding SCers who I believe would never have lied to me about the trade not arriving, and some of those I am so sure out right lied to me, but I resend because who am I to accuse. I think suspecting them of lying and accusing someone of lying is a step I could never make . Once when after I told a very nice lady not to worry, that it happens, no biggie and so forth she resent her trade which I sent back to her the same day....stuff happens and who am I to complain about it all, sometimes it just feels good to let it go..... .....I am going to use the suggestion of another in that I will always check the cards after a trade to see if they are or have been used...I spend a lot on GCs as it is an easier trade for me.....I do not mind trading %10 however NOT with those I get the feeling have stolen flyers off a route or those I feel are taking entire stacks off shelves....I feel if they have multiples and ride a lot of trains they are not the Stack Stealers as I label them....make sense...

In the same note, I have had trades go bad and did at one point recieve an neg rating which I worked out but I was unable to set aside my horror of the rating long enough to pm her back to rectify the trade! I should have just communicated with her, my mistake to which I learned such a great deal from!! I had to wait until I had what she was after before I could PM her, if only out of sheer embarrasment....There are some very Awesome People on here who I think put up with me just for s and giggles and they know who they are, bless their souls!!

I have had atleast 10 trades never show up for me and have NEVER once blamed a person for it...I am just too easy going but now am considering that I should have taken them to moderators as it seems to be a trend (although it is a trend we should get rid of, kinda like all trends left over from the 80`s) as I would expect the same if someone felt I was not honouring my end of a trade! I still do not know if I could pass down a neg rating without the explicit advice from a mod.

I have also tried conducting 2 trains that went completly missing and was even FB friends with the rider one went missing with, needless to say she took me off FB...big surprise!!

I have my own blacklist as soooo many people take advantage of my GC trades that I wont even open some ppl`s messages, only the same ones that have been agressive or disgustingly rude when I turned their trade offer down.......I just pray that I am not thought of in this way! I also have a list of super awesome rock star`s I try to trade with before I start a thread ( you know who you are )....I just think in a forum as large as this it is very much buyer beware....no pun intended and wow things got pretty heated here for a while....some things hit home like the fact that I can make a trade but the night before I am to send my envie out I end up in the Hospital ( a very frequent thing with my guy ) BUT when I return I always explain and I am very well aware that others may not care of my home life and may leave a neg rating over my non response if something was to get messed up in the meantime....just need to keep it in the back of your head when sending or waiting on a trade...life gets busy plain and simple!

To that note there is this...CP sucks...I mean even worse than Telus, so please consider that it is not possible to say out loud and be honest at the same time that every one of your trades has been done in a timely manner or that you have never wanted to chew your nails off in anticipation of a wanted envie!! We all know that just because you live in AB for example that an envie from AB would get to you sooner that one from ON as more times than not the one from ON arrives faster....

I know I was not rude in this post so I will not apologize but want to sign off saying Happy Trading.....we all are here to save a few bucks why not have fun doing it....hmmm

Star, thats the difference though, you came back from hospital and communicated. The bad traders just ignore you or dont log on at all, I never leave a neg until I have given the person a chance, usually at least a month after the trade

I'm sorry but she should have some sort of reprimand for that, to say the least. Specifically trading after being banned from trading? Wow!

I wouldn't want to see someone banned from SC, but if there is no way to stop bad traders from trading and clearly they aren't honouring their word, then perhaps a temporary SC ban is in order.

Perhaps some people need to learn that actions have consequences.

About this business of trading with newbies....Do I do it then or wait because I just had a newbie initiate a trade...I really really really need her coupons...lol...however she is asking for a $20 GC for $46 in coupons which I just about pooped a brick over because there are some who shall remain nameless who didn't try asking for that, but when I do shake some sense into this trade do I need to go to someone for approval or what? I am confused! Can you tell and I am sorry I didn't keep it short..lol

Coupon values for GCs depend on what they are, if they are FPCs or HV they are worth more than regular coupons

If you want to run the coupons past someone, but if its you paying then its up to you, the trading with newbies is more to make sure they start off on the right footing (and I dont see anything set up yet) but I would not trade $20 for $46 in coupons

This is way too much if you ask me! I just did a trade with a newbie who was really looking for soem coupons and it was a trade for roughly $42ish. There was no way i would have asked for a $20 GC. If I remember right she gave me 6 stamps of hand picked coupons, and she was extreamly happy to do so! We have even become friends and adpotee's since our trade
