Husband pulled off the best brag ever!

We went in to pick up his pre-ordered game at *local gameshop*. They have a special going on where you get an extra 30% on any trade in.

So he takes a bunch of games in, and gets $150 in credit. The clerk turns around to pluck his order out of the drawer...and discovers she had mistakenly given it away to someone else who paid for just the game (husband paid for the next level up, with some extra codes and such, $40 in the difference). She apologizes profusely and calls the person she gave it too, who luckily is a regular (and a nice guy) and willingly comes back in to set things right.

During the wait for nice guy to come in, DH picks out another game and leaves to find me in another store. We go back in 20 minutes later and the game is there and the clerk offers an additional 20% off any game.

So, long story short, DH got 3 games retailing over $200 for $12.79 OOP!! (with trade in credit, and discounts in store)

Much better than the anticipated $100 we were expecting to pay when we left this morning

Great brag! DH started doing the same thing with his games (combining trade-ins with promos), he gets so proud of himself! I guess it's sort of like his own way of couponing (whatever saves us money)
