Just let them do different transactions. One time I bought 4 of the same thing had 4 coupons and ended up $0.20 in Canadian Tire money instead of $0.05 Canadian Tire money.I was happy with that.

Leave kids and spouse at home to go shopping with coupons if at all possible. I've had DH with me and all it does is slow me down plus throws off my couponing.

I think Cdn Tire sells so much hardware stuff that the cashiers don't see a lot of coupons, so they don't know how to put them through. I have tried several times to use coupons at Cdn Tire and it is always a huge deal!!!! I once used 9 bogo Beneful coupons there and they made me do it in 9 transactions!!!! I rarely go there with coupons because of this.

Aww that stinks Sorry you have a "bad" CT...
I really think it depends on the store. The one in my hometown is fabulous with coupons and I never have any problems, but the one in my mom's hometown is terrible and I'd never try using coupons there again!

I went to Canadian Tire yesterday and asked the cashier before hand if the airwick I was getting had to be rung in separately, and she said no. She let me ring in all 5 things, and use 5 coupons in one transaction. It depends on the location and the cashier. At least she let you use coupons in the first place.
