Ah, isn't it just the bees knees when things work our for our kids?! We're as happy (if not more!) than they are!!
I know with our DD, when she receives things like her last award, she's pretty blase about it, whereas I'm doing cartwheels in the kitchen! Okay, not real cartwheels...cartwheels of the mind...lol. Geez. Flashback to 60's lyrics! LOL!!
I hope Milan continues to be happy and fulfilled at work!!

I'm sure some people get pushed into HR as they are incapable of anything else. I've worked with a couple of doozy's in th epast.
One would tell you all about a co-worker's affairs from how much they earned to their health problems...
Another would be this close to sticking her fingers in her ears and not listening to you...She tried to stop a group of us getting a management-approved buy-out when our working conditions changed because she though it was too much. She then wanted me to be her union rep at her disciplinary hearing over it....
Short answer : no Long answer : NOOOOOOOOOOO!

Natalka, that is such good news, kind of comical too. Milan has a new reason to get up each day!! All the best to him!
( ok, side note for a chuckle.....my DS had promised to clear any snow that fell for a neighbour, and the first big snowfall he headed out, came back sweaty but satisfied....lady calls me few hrs later, where is DS? Is he not going to shovel??
OMG!! he had shoveled the WRONG house, long driveway and all! Mix-ups happen, but I was shaking my head at him.

Well, he's had an amazing week, and got his first cheque yesterday! He comes home every night tired, but he says it's a 'good' tired - and I know what he means. He likes talking about what's going on, what he got to do and try each day - and has had lots of occasions already where they are pleased he knows how to do certain things which they didn't expect. Nice to know!
He got to participate in an evening event done by one of their suppliers of shocks, to test cars for consumers so they could see what the same vehicle was with 'good' and 'bad' shocks - so he spent a few hours basically driving around a course with obstacles, bumps, different traffic situations, etc. He quite liked doing that.
Anyway, he'll have a review in a few weeks to see if he gets a raise and by then he may know whether or not they will sponsor him through apprenticeship. That's the big step to get to!
So, that's it - happy son, happy mom!

That's great news, Natalka. It's a refreshing change to hear about a young adult with such a wonderful attitude.
