Finger cuts hit those nerves-very ouchy and sensitive for some weeks.
The hand/arm numbness-can you call Telehealth Ontario just to determine if you can wait it out or go to ER?

Thanks! I was thinking about calling Telehealth tomorrow if the numbness isn't decrease. I checked the cut and it's off center to the side of my finger so there's a chance I may cut through a nerve.
The $89.88 7" Acer tablet has MTK8317 (dual core) chip instead of the advertised MTK8125 chip (quad core). It's the Iconia B1-710 model. Since I am not familiar with tablet's specs I asked them to give me one advertised and when I got home I found out they are not the same.

I sliced my pinkie finger a year ago with some glass. I went to Emerg and they glued (Yes, glue) it for me. It's healed now, although it left a scar. Sometimes it goes numb or falls asleep and sometimes it's fine.
I think I did something to a nerve. I'm not sure how much going to the doctor would do for you though. It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness.

when there is a very windy night, that rattles your windows
when you must rake bags and bags of maple leaves, after the wind storm
when you don't even own a maple tree
when your neighbour, with a large, large maple tree, has not even put out one bag of leaves

Stores raise their prices for Black Friday but offer a discount so people think they're getting a good deal.

You wash your vehicle and in the morning find little kitty paw prints all over the hood.

I did the same thing to my right pointer finger but with a hammer. Took the whole tip right off and it was hanging by 1/4 of flesh and skin. It was taking too long in Emerg, so I went home, got out the Krazy glue and a couple of bandages. I fixed it up myself. Then I had to clean up all the blood, what a " bloody" mess( if you'll pardon the pun)

You're a tougher nut than I am, Wolfie. I spent 4 hours one night in emerg. for them to put glue on my cut finger.

Ha! I remember when DH got in a bar fight and I had to take him to Emerg to get his hand stitched up. I would have just fixed it at home but I was worried about the bacteria from the other guy's mouth. Poor DH was so grossed out when the doc put the forceps in and opened it up. Me? I had my head touching the Doc's forehead looking at the bones and tendons. Oops, sorry again Walks.

Went to emergency at the recommendation of the Telehealth nurse on Tuesday (she said I should have went to emergency the same day I got the cut because it's not suppose to feel numb). The dr. just take a quick look and said the cut is not deep enough. He didn't even try to pry the cut to see how deep it was or at least properly examined it. Still feel numb as of today. That's over 4 days already...he said the numbness will go away in about a week and it has nothing to do with my cut. It's caused by me jerking my elbow as a reflex from when cutting my finger. What a load of crap? I had my fair share of cuts in my not so young life and NEVER experience numbness on my finger / hand. It definately sever a vein / nerve. It's very annoying as I feel like my finger was with injected with anesthesia. Plus it's on my dominant hand. Pray that it'll heal on it's own. Thought the faster I get to the hospital the lesser chance of having complication later but end up just a waste of time.

I feel emerges are too full of people waiting to have things done that could be dealt with at home. By doing this , people with serious needs wait less time.
Silly DH Tried to get me in there after I gave my stallion a right cross to the jaw. Horse wasn't listening but he sure did afterwards. I didn't break my hand as I could still move all my fingers. Just was REALLY sore for a week or so.Just call me Wolfie
