ok, so here are some more Mystery Plants I need some help with.
Now, I do know that there was an Italian couple that lived here before us, so I am thinking these might be some sort basil? But the seed pod/flower on it is throwing me for a loop. I've circled what I think is a flower??? I am stumped!
This next 2 are of what i think might be a tomato plant? Or Strawberry? I am only saying that because of the little white flowers, which i have also circled, but again I would assume if they were either of those they would already be at the "fruit" stage at this point:
This next one i really have no clue...there's no flowers or buds on it, i am assuming if it was going to flower it would've done it already, but i love the leaves, and i find them in little clusters in the back and front garden.
And last but not least, is this some kind of ornamental grass??? or am i just hoping it is and it's actually crabgrass gone to seed??
Hoping someone can help me out!!!Last edited by Sunshyne1; Fri, Jul 18th, 2014 at 06:40 PM.

You should pinch off the flowers on the basil it will promote more leaf growth

#2 and 3 are not strawberries or tomatoes because I have both in my garden

Thanks Patty...good lord im going to have alot of basil...that garden runs the full length of the back of the house, about 20 feet long!!!! And its full of it! I pulled off a leaf and crushed it in my hand but didn't get any kind of basil smell which is why i thought maybe it was something else.
I think i'll leave the other plants and see if something comes out...but I will pull the crabgrass. I wasn't sure it was crab grass because I pulled a whole bunch of it out of that garden and none of them had those seed pods so i thought maybe it was an ornamental grass..oh well.Last edited by Sunshyne1; Fri, Jul 18th, 2014 at 07:32 PM.

Sunshyne, I'm pretty sure that #2 and #3 are weeds... #3 for sure - I've been yanking those out almost daily in my garden
