I was just making up my weekly shopping lists and noticed a few things I didn't see anywhere else:
(Ignore this if it's already posted somewhere)

In the Rexall coupon flyer there is a coupon for 1.00$ off softsoap refill, which is on sale at No Frills for 1.00$ so Price match it at Walmart, and use the Rexall coupon there (Walmart accepts competitor coupons) and it's FREE!!

There is also a 2.00$ off ladyspeed stick coupon in the Rexall coupon flyer, Zellers has Ladyspeed stick on for 1.99 this week, price match at Walmart = FREE!!

Skintimate shave gel is on sale 2/6$ at SDM, they will charge you 3.49 each, but if you Pricematch at WM they will match 3.00. Use the 3.00$ off shave gel coupon from Shoppers Voice and FREE!!

    HOORAY FOR FREE STUFF!!!!!!!

    No you can't.

The OP is mistaken, WM's do NOT take competitor coupons, it is in the coupon policy that they do not allow competitor coupons for dollars off (so $1 off softsoap for example) but they do allow competitor coupons as long as the coupon states a price (so Cheese $4.49).

That being said the very odd rare WM will allow for this to go on despite that fact that they are not supposed to according to WM Head Office.

Just warning people so that no body gets all upset and knickers in a knot when a cashier won't allow them to do this.

actually, skintimate is $2.47 at Walmart right now... so if you used the $3 coupon from shoppers voice, you'd get a $0.53 overage

Its a taboo deal, I agree with that. But Walmart does accept it sometimes. Good job!

Very good idea to have the policy on hand when trying to do this ... the policy that states the fact that they do not allow this. lol

The policy seems really vague actually...

    Competitors coupons qualify if:

    • issued by a Canadian competitor
    • for a specific item for a specified price i.e. $2.99
    • buy one, get one free (BOGO) coupons for items with a specified price
    • they have a valid expiration date
    • and are acceptable in black, white or color

Are they saying that they ONLY accept coupons for a specified price (e.g. 2.99) or they ALSO accept coupons for a specific price. If they are saying they will only accept coupons at a specific price, than this is the same as price matching. Accpeting compt. coupons is something completely different than price matching...It seems like this one is still up for interpretation.

Its not vague at all. It is completely understandable. It goes with what I had posted originally, they will only accept a competitor coupon if the coupon has a specified price.

I disagree that accepting a competitor coupon and price matching is any different. Its the exact same as long as you follow the policy and your competitor coupon has a specified price otherwise how else are they going to give it to you for that price?

I don't think the policy is up for interpretation at all, its very basic and easy to understand. They only accept competitor coupons with a specified price (or atleast those are the rules all WM's are supposed to follow).
